How to Win Daily Fantasy Sports

How to Win Daily Fantasy Sports Betting
Follow these Daily Fantasy Tips and Tricks to give yourself the best chance of winning DFS lineups, sports betting and office pool pickem games!
1) Do research. Take time to go through our DFS Tools, especially the Browse Teams Tool! This page shows each game matchup, complete with Quarterback DFS salary, Vegas odds, over/under, weather conditions and more. Use this page to identify heavy Vegas favorites, team records, divisional matchups, and potential blowout and trap games.
2) Don't bet on a whim! Don't place sports bets or enter daily fantasy contests without any justification to the players or teams you are picking. You may want to save time and enter a random lineup, or place a bet because "you are hot" or you just want to "get in for the action". Never do it! If you need to enter a quick lineup, make your sports picks using our Browse Teams and Position Optimizer tools.
3) Avoid Spoiler Games! Watch out for teams who haven't won in a while and are playing at home. Those are often the "spoiler games" that will ruin your bets, parlays and DFS entries. Be aware of all the matchups, go through each one in detail before you make your picks!
4) Bankroll Management. Very simply, you should never be betting more than 5-10% of your total available balance. This means if you have $100 in your DraftKings or FanDuel account, you should not enter more than $10 worth of contests. Along those lines, never use the same team or player in your more than 30% of your bets. This way if that team or player is a flop, you still have a chance to win.
5) Be a strategic gambler. Wait for the right opportunities to come up to make your bets and DFS plays. Don't play "just to play" or because it's your favorite team. Don't be impulsive, be patient and you will be rewarded.
6) Power of the home field. Teams with home field advantage tend to win more often than not. Stay away from double digit road favorites, you will lose those bets in the long run.
7) Bet like a robot. As hard as it is, try to stay emotionless when making your picks. Don't always bet on your team and stack them in your DFS lineups. Do it when the time is right, not every time you play!
8) Check injuries before game time! Player injuries heavily sway the outcomes of games, keep up on who is injured and stay away from teams with backup players in key positions coming into the game on a short week of practice. For example, if a Quarterback/PointGuard/Pitcher is injured during the week, it's really hard for the team to adjust and prepare the backup of such an important position on short notice.
9) Don't go on tilt. Don't make large bets trying to "make back" your losses. We all do it from time to time, and if you have to do it, make sure you spend extra research time, don't skimp and say "oh, I have a 50/50 chance". You might get lucky, but the odds are against you if you try to make up your losses with impulsive bets or tons of DFS lineups that destroy your bankroll.
10) Never gamble or enter DFS contests if you are hungry, tired, depressed, sleepy or drunk. Stay sharp when you are making your plays. Do your research and use all our DFS Tools to make the best decisions possible. Good luck!
