Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen was not able to do much of anything versus the Chicago Bears in Week 17. Thielen caught three of his four targets for 38 yards and was unable to find the end zone. He finished the season with 113 receptions, 1,373 yards, and nine touchdowns. All of those are career highs for Thielen and he has a great chance to repeat himself in 2019.
2 months ago: Adam Thielen Plays Complementary Role
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen had a solid day, snagging 5-of-6 targets for 80 yards in the Week 16 win over the Detroit Lions. Thielen benefited from shutdown-cornerback Darius Slay shadowing Stefon Diggs all afternoon, but it was tight end Kyle Rudolph who got the majority of the targets and receiving work in the must-win game for the Vikings. Though he has been held under 100 receiving yards in five of his last six contests, he is still averaging a ridiculous 94 receiving yards per game in 2018. Thielen faces off against the Chicago Bears in Week 17, and he should be viewed as an upper-tier WR2 in that crucial matchup.
2 months ago: Adam Thielen Invisible Against Dolphins
Minnesota Vikings wideout Adam Thielen hauled in two receptions for 19 yards during a blowout 41-17 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 15. Thielen was only targeted twice in the game, by far his lowest figure of the season. Thielen has been one of the top fantasy players throughout the entire campaign, but this performance was miserable. He now has under 30 receiving yards in three of his past six games. Thielen still has 105 receptions on the season to go along with 1255 yards and nine touchdowns. With that in mind, his recent inconsistency makes him a low-end WR1 for a Week 16 matchup with the Detroit Lions.
2 months ago: Adam Thielen Seeking Bounce-Back Performance In Week 15
Minnesota Vikings wideout Adam Thielen had 70 yards on five receptions in Week 14 against the Seattle Seahawks. It was Thielen's worst fantasy performance of the season, which speaks to how good he has been. The 28-year-old wideout has had a ridiculously high floor throughout the campaign, and he should be back to his elite ways against the Miami Dolphins in Week 15. The Dolphins will likely be without starting cornerback Xavien Howard (knee) for the game, which will help open up Thielen across the middle. Their pass defense sits 25th in the league. Thielen should be able to take advantage of a solid matchup and can be started as a mid-tier WR1.
2 months ago: Adam Thielen Picks Up 70 Yards On Monday
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen hauled in five passes for 70 yards during a 21-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night. Thielen also ran the ball once for eight yards. The 28-year-old wideout has been held under 70 yards in four of his past five games. The Vikings' passing offense has been miserable lately, but perhaps the firing of offensive coordinator John DeFilippo is a step in the right direction. Thielen faces off with the Miami Dolphins in Week 15, who have been vulnerable through the air over the past few games. Thielen is a low-end WR1 for that contest.
3 months ago: Adam Thielen Remains A High-Floor Asset For Week 14
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen continues to be a reliable source of production for fantasy owners. Despite only having 28 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 13, he salvaged the day with a touchdown catch. Thielen has scored a touchdown in nine of 12 games this season. In Week 14, he takes on a Seattle Seahawks secondary that has been victimized by opposing receivers as of late. In each of their past five games, at least one receiver has gone over 89 receiving yards on the day. Thielen's worst fantasy week in standard leagues this season was still 8.60 points. He remains a high-floor WR1 for the first week of the fantasy playoffs.
3 months ago: Adam Thielen Saves Day With Touchdown
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen hauled in just five of 10 targets for 28 yards in Week 13 against the New England Patriots, though he did save his fantasy day with a five-yard touchdown at the end of the first half. He, along with the Vikings offense as a whole, just seemed out-of-sync all afternoon. Even with this subpar outing, Thielen is easily entrenched in WR1 territory for the remainder of the fantasy season thanks to his elite usage, yardage, and touchdown-rate.
3 months ago: Adam Thielen Poised For Strong Outing In Week 13
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen snapped out of his mini-slump during Week 12 with eight receptions, 125 yards, and one touchdown. The 28-year-old wideout is set to face the New England Patriots and their 25th-ranked pass defense in Week 13. Thielen has had over 100 receiving yards in 10 of his 12 games this season. He has also scored eight touchdowns and hauled in 93 passes. As long as Stefon Diggs (knee) plays, Thielen will be able to expose the Patriots' suspect secondary in man-to-man coverage. He is a high-floor WR1 for Week 13.
3 months ago: Adam Thielen Breaks 100-Yard Barrier Again
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen snagged eight receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown in a 24-17 victory over the Green Bay Packers. Thielen had only totaled 88 receiving yards over his past two games but delivered a masterful performance in Week 12. Thielen now has 93 receptions on the season to go along with 1138 yards and eight touchdowns. He has blossomed into one of the league's best receivers over the past two seasons and is a leader on the Vikings' offense. Thielen faces the suspect secondary of New England Patriots in Week 13. He remains an elite WR1.
3 months ago: Adam Thielen Set To Bounce Back In Week 12
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has struggled for the first time all season. He has a combined 88 receiving yards in his past two games. Perhaps the perfect remedy is a matchup against the Green Bay Packers in Week 12. He torched the Packers for 131 yards and a touchdown on 12 receptions in Week 2. The Packers secondary has been a strong point for their team this season, but have been exposed against solid quarterbacks. Thielen is primed for a massive performance if Kirk Cousins can play as he did in Week 2. Start Thielen as a mid-tier WR1.
3 months ago: Adam Thielen is Limited Again
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (calf, back) was limited during Thursday's practice. Thielen has now been limited in two straight practices, but did play through the issues last week. He's listed as questionable, but fantasy owners shouldn't be concerned about his status for Week 12. He'll be a solid WR1 against Green Bay.
3 months ago: Adam Thielen Produces Modest Numbers Against Bears
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught seven passes for 66 yards and a two-point conversion during a Sunday night loss to the Bears. The Vikings offense was abysmal in the first half, which hurt Thielen's chances of a massive fantasy performance. It is the second game in a row that Thielen has failed to live up to his lofty standards from earlier in the season. With that in mind, Thielen is now up to 1013 receiving yards on the season to go along with 85 receptions and seven touchdowns. The 28-year-old can still be considered a mid-tier WR1 for a Week 12 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
3 months ago: Adam Thielen Remains A Must-Start Option In Week 11
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (calf) is currently questionable for the Week 11 matchup against the Chicago Bears. In all likelihood, he will play, but it is a situation to monitor nonetheless. Assuming he does suit up, Thielen will be a solid fantasy option even against a stout Bears' defense. The fifth-year wideout has put up over 100 receiving yards in eight of his nine games this season. He has also scored a touchdown in seven of his contests. Thielen is a monster out of the slot and can serve as a WR1 for fantasy managers in Week 11.
3 months ago: Adam Thielen Limited Wednesday
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (back, calf) was limited in practice on Wednesday. It's a little strange coming off the bye week, but Thielen is in no danger of sitting out in Week 11 against the Bears in a big divisional matchup. He has been one of the best all-around players in fantasy this year, catching 78 passes (103) targets for 947 yards and seven touchdowns. He had only four catches for 22 yards in Week 9 but managed to save his day with a score. His owners are hoping he can return to the 100-yard receiving mark on Sunday night versus the Bears.
4 months ago: Adam Thielen's Streak Ends; Scores Touchdown In Week 9 Win
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen saw his streak of eight consecutive 100-yard games come to an end, but he did haul in a touchdown reception during a 24-9 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 9. Thielen picked up four catches for 22 yards in the game. Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins only attempted 22 passes which helps explain Thielen's quiet week. The talented wideout will be on a bye in Week 10 before facing the Chicago Bears in Week 11. He still remains a top-tier WR1.
4 months ago: Adam Thielen Remains A Must-Start In Week 9
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has been downright ridiculous this season. He has gone over 100 receiving yards in every game he has played in and also leads the NFL in receptions (74), receiving yards (925), and targets (94). Thielen faces a tough test in Week 9 against a solid Detroit Lions secondary, but there has been no reason to doubt the 28-year-old yet this year. The Lions only allow 223 passing yards per game, but they have given up 15 receiving touchdowns. Thielen has already exposed other great secondaries around the league so Week 9 should be no different. He is a must-start WR1.
4 months ago: Adam Thielen Reaches 100 Yards Yet Again
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen recorded his eighth consecutive 100-yard receiving game on Sunday night against the New Orleans Saints. Thielen hauled in seven receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown and also ran the ball once for 15 yards. Thielen had his first miscue of the season late in the second quarter with a costly red-zone fumble, but it was still a strong performance from the 28-year-old. He has a matchup with the Detroit Lions in Week 9 where he'll look to set the all-time NFL record for consecutive 100-yard receiving games. Thielen is a definite WR1 heading into that contest.
4 months ago: Adam Thielen Poised To Make History In Week 8
Minnesota Vikings wideout Adam Thielen has tallied over 100 receiving yards in every game he has played so far this season. Heading into a Week 8 matchup with the New Orleans Saints, Thielen is on the verge of setting the NFL record for most consecutive 100 yard games to start a season. Realistically, there could not be a better matchup for the talented wide receiver. The Saints have given up the most fantasy points in the NFL to wide receivers and allow an average of 294 passing yards per game. Thielen has dominated the league through seven weeks and that trend will continue in Week 8. Thielen is a must-start fantasy asset.
4 months ago: Adam Thielen Breaks 100 Yards For Seventh Straight Week
Death, taxes, and Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen tallying over 100 receiving yards. The talented wideout hauled in nine receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown during a Week 7 win over the New York Jets. He has tied Charlie Hennigan for the most consecutive 100-yard receiving games to start a season. Thielen has been a ridiculous fantasy asset this year and has had the highest floor of any player. He has 822 yards and five touchdowns on 67 receptions this season. He is a must-start every week and has a solid matchup against a porous New Orleans Saints secondary in Week 8.
4 months ago: Adam Thielen Set To Continue Domination In Week 7
Minnesota Vikings wideout Adam Thielen has been the highest-floor receiver in the NFL this season, and that trend looks like it will continue in Week 7 against the New York Jets. Thielen, who leads the league in yards and receptions, has gone for over 100 receiving yards in every game so far in 2018. He is going up against a Jets' secondary that has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. The Vikings' pass offense tends to revolve around Thielen regardless of opponent. He is a must-start player once again.
4 months ago: Adam Thielen Puts Up 100 Yards For Sixth Straight Week
Minnesota Vikings wideout Adam Thielen hauled in 11 receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown in a 27-17 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Thielen is the first receiver in the Super Bowl era to have over 100 receiving yards in six straight games to start a season. He has yet to have a subpar fantasy performance this year. Thielen now leads the NFL in receptions, receiving yards, and targets. He should be started every week without any question.
4 months ago: Adam Thielen Seeking Sixth Straight 100-Yard Game
Minnesota Vikings wideout Adam Thielen has been unbelievable to start the 2018 season and Week 6 should be no different. While the Arizona Cardinals have given up the second-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers, Thielen should still be able to abuse the secondary out of the slot. He is the first player in NFL history to have at least 100 receiving yards in each of his team's first five games. Thielen is one of the top receivers in the league, and with the Vikings struggling to run the ball, he should be in line to top the century mark for the sixth straight game. Thielen is a WR1 for fantasy purposes and is a definite start.
5 months ago: Adam Thielen Continues Record-Setting Start To Season
Minnesota Vikings wideout Adam Thielen became the first receiver to ever record over 100 yards in each of his team's first five games of a season. Thielen hauled in seven receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown. He now has 47 receptions on the season to go along with 589 yards and three touchdowns. Thielen is unquestionably a top-10 option at the receiver position and can be started with confidence any time he takes the field. He has a solid fantasy matchup against the Arizona Cardinals next week.
5 months ago: Adam Thielen A Top-10 WR Option For Week 5
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has been a model of consistency through the first four weeks of the season. Thielen has seen over 12 targets and recorded over 100 yards in every game. This should continue heading into a Week 5 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers so far this season. The Vikings have had a putrid running game, which has forced them to rely on the pass more than any other team. This bodes well for Thielen, who is a definite start in Week 5.
5 months ago: Adam Thielen Turns In Another Amazing Performance
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen hauled in eight of his 12 targets on Thursday night for 135 yards and a touchdown. Thielen has gone over 100 receiving yards in every game this season. His 473 yards through four games are the most in Vikings' franchise history. Thielen is a model of consistency and seems unstoppable at this point. He is averaging over 14 targets a week and should continue to shine in Week 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
5 months ago: Adam Thielen Will Keep On Rolling In Week 4
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has gone over 100 yards in every game so far this season and leads the entire NFL with 44 targets. That pattern should not change heading into Week 4 due to the injuries in the Los Angeles Rams secondary. Thielen always has the best matchup on the field due to his role as slot receiver. He is also Kirk Cousins' favorite target. With Aqib Talib (ankle) inactive, and Marcus Peters (calf) likely not playing, Thielen should be able to expose the Rams over the middle and continue his dominant start.
5 months ago: Adam Thielen Remains Focal Point Of Vikings' Offense
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen snagged 14 of 19 targets for 105 yards in a 27-6 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 3. Thielen has now garnered at least 12 targets and 100 yards in every game this season. Playing as the slot receiver has been a blessing for Thielen in terms of fantasy production. He is unquestionably Kirk Cousins' favorite target and should continue to produce no matter the competition. The Vikings offense has a tough test on Thursday against the Los Angeles Rams, but Thielen is as consistent as they come. He should still get a plethora of touches playing out of the slot.
5 months ago: Adam Thielen A Fantastic Week 3 Option
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen should continue his strong start to the season in Week 3. Thielen already has 233 yards and a touchdown on 25 targets in 2018. He should be able to torch a porous Buffalo Bills secondary that has given up the second-most passing touchdowns in the NFL. Thielen has become Kirk Cousins' favorite target and is a definite WR1 for Sunday's matchup.
6 months ago: Adam Thielen's Injury Is Minor
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (leg) is "good" after leaving practice on Tuesday, according to a league source. There is no cause for long-term concern here. Thielen should be good to go for Week 1. He is a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 in fantasy after his breakout 2017 season.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Disappoints In The Playoffs
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will head into the offseason coming off a career regular season with 1,276 receiving yards and 91 receptions. He certainly showed up on the final drive of the Minnesota Miracle last week, but for the most part he had a quiet playoffs. He only caught three passes for 28 yards as the Vikings were trounced by the Eagles 38-7 and only registered 102 receiving yards in two playoff games. Thielen has emerged as a go-to receiver that runs great routes and can get himself open, but he will have to improve on catching only four touchdowns this season, and the Vikings quarterback uncertainty will muddle Thielen's fantasy value in the beginning portion of the NFL offseason.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Officially Active
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (back) is dealing with a "couple of slight fractures" in his lower back, but is active for the NFL Championship Game Ian Rapoport of NFL Network confirmed that he had fractures in his back, but he plans to gut it out against the Eagles in Sunday's NFC title game. Stefon Diggs could be in for a bigger workload this week with Thielen operating at much less than 100 percent. Quarterbacks Kyle Slotter and Teddy Bridgewater, running back Mack Brown, guard Danny Isidora, center Cornelius Edison, defensive end Tashawn Bower, and defensive tackle Shamar Stephen are inactive for Sunday's game.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Dealing With Back Fractures
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (back) is dealing with a "couple of slight fractures" in his lower back, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Thielen suffered the injury on a hit from Marshon Lattimore late in last week's win over New Orleans. Per Rapoport, Thielen's injury is "extremely painful," though he plans to gut it out against the Eagles in Sunday's NFC title game. Stefon Diggs could be in for a bigger workload this week with Thielen operating at much less than 100 percent.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Will Play On Sunday
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (questionable, back) will play in Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Eagles. He missed some practice time with a lower back injury this week, though his status for Sunday was never in question. Thielen held his own in a tough matchup with Marshon Lattimore last week (six catches for 74 yards) and should give the Eagles all they can handle on Sunday. With a win, the Vikings will claim their first NFC title since 1976.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Is Questionable
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (back) is questionable for Sunday's NFC Championship game against the Eagles. Thielen has been working through a low back issue all week. He is fully expected to play after practicing on a limited basis the last two days. Thielen may not be 100 percent but should be fine for his normal snaps.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen At Practice
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (back) participated in Thursday's practice. Thielen sat out Wednesday with a lower back issue, but it never seemed like a real concern. Barring a setback, he should be ready to face the Eagles on Sunday
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Misses Practice Wednesday
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (back) did not practice Wednesday. The seriousness of Thielen's lower back injury is unknown, but we'll probably have more updates coming. There's a chance the Vikes are just giving him some rest ahead of the NFC title game against the Eagles. Thielen disappointed in the touchdown category this year with just four scores, but he was a solid and consistent WR2 otherwise. He caught six passes for 74 yards in the Divisional Round win over the Saints and should be a pretty safe DFS play against a Philly secondary that allowed the eighth most fantasy points per game (33.2) to opposing wideouts this year.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen's Lack Of Touchdowns Hurts His Value Against Eagles
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has had a career season with 91 receptions and 1,276 yards, including 74 receiving yards last week in the Vikings wild win against the Saints. But Thielen has only four touchdowns this season and has not caught a touchdown since December 10th. He has been a go-to receiver for quarterback Case Keenum but when the Vikings get in the red zone Thielen serves more as a decoy than a weapon. This week he will take on an Eagles defense that has allowed the 14th most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season. The Eagles have been tough on the run this season but can be beat in the secondary. Thielen is an excellent route runner and should have no issue getting open often this weekend. He may not find the end zone but Thielen is a top-4 play at receiver in fantasy for this weekend.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Puts Up 74 Receiving Yards In Victory
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught six passes for 74 yards in the Vikings 29-24 wild win over the Saints. With the Vikings backed up against the wall, Thielen stepped up with some huge receptions in the final two drives that netted nine Vikings points. He saw nine targets in the game and his best catch was a 24-yard gain. Thielen has had a career season but only four touchdowns. He is far too talented to be that scoring-starved, making him a huge X-factor next week against a tough Eagles defense in the NFC Championship Game.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Will Be WR1 This Weekend
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will take on a Saints defense that allowed the 13th most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season. Thielen began his career season with a bang in Week 1 against the Saints, torching them for nine catches and 157 yards. Thielen would go on to post 1,276 receiving yards and will see a Saints secondary that has allowed at least 80 receiving yards to 13 different receivers this season. Thielen has emerged as an elite go-to receiver in the NFL and will need to step up if the Vikings hope to advance. Thielen should have a very active game this weekend and will be a WR1 in fantasy.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Wraps Up Career Season With 61 Yards Against Bears
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught six passes for 61 yards as the Vikings put down the Bears in the final game of the regular season 23-10. Thielen came up with some key third-down receptions, something he has had a knack for this season. Thielen finished with only four touchdown catches this season but was an indispensable part of the Viking offense, finishing the season with 91 receptions for 1,276 receiving yards. He will be a WR1 option for the playoffs.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Hopes To Break Mini-Slump Against Bears
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will look to shake off his two-game mini-slump in Week 17 against the Bears. Thielen has burst onto the fantasy scene this season, racking up 85 catches for 1,215 yards and four touchdowns for the playoff-bound Vikings. But he has put up only 54 yards over his last two games and will take on a Bears secondary that held Thielen to 34 yards in Week 5. The Bears secondary has allowed the 15th most fantasy points to receivers but only one 100-yard receiver all season. The Vikings should roll to victory in the game and Thielen should be able to make a few plays. Thielen is a low-end WR2 for Week 17.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Should Bounce Back Against Packers
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has had some quiet games lately but should be able to bust loose against a Packers defense that has allowed the fifth most fantasy points to receivers this season. Thielen caught nine passes for 96 yards in Week 6 against Green Bay and their secondary is as vulnerable as ever. Since Week 7, Green Bay has allowed at least one touchdown catch to a receiver in six of their last seven games. The Vikings should dominate this Saturday night matchup and this is a perfect opportunity to get Thielen back on track. Thielen is a high-end WR2 for Week 16.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Stays Quiet With 30 Receiving Yards
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen mustered only 30 receiving yards in the Vikings 34-7 blowout win over the Bengals. In a game where the Vikings scored 34 points one would think Thielen would be heavily involved. But other than a nice 21-yard grab, Thielen disappeared. The season low 30 yards came at a bad time for fantasy owners. Thielen will be back on the WR1 map against a vulnerable Packers secondary.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen, Jerick McKinnon Not On Injury Report
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (knee) and running back Jerick McKinnon (shoulder) both practiced in full the last two days and aren't on the final injury report for Week 15 against the Bengals. Thielen is a must-start WR1, and his fantasy value receives a boost with tight end Kyle Rudolph (ankle) unlikely to play this weekend. McKinnon has taken a back seat to Latavius Murray of late, but he could also be more involved in the passing game with Rudolph likely out. McKinnon is an RB3/flex option in PPR leagues.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Remains WR1 For Cincinnati Matchup
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen is a must-start this Sunday against an injury-dfepleted Bengals defense. The Bengals have allowed the fifth fewest fantasy points to receivers this season but have been getting burned regularly the past few weeks. Thielen is having a career season and got back on track last week with 105 yards and a touchdown. There are few receivers one-on-one better than Thielen right now in the NFL and needs to be in all lineups during the fantasy playoffs for Week 15.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Bounces Back With Touchdown, 105 Yards
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught six passes for 105 yards with one touchdown as the Vikings fell short to the Panthers 31-24. Thielen came up with another big-time play, taking a pass from quarterback Case Keenum and sprinting 52 yards for his fourth touchdown of the season. Thielen now has four 100-yard games this season and has amassed 90 yards or more in a game seven times. Thielen is back on the WR1 radar and is a must-start next week.
1 year ago: Keep Starting Adam Thielen With Confidence
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has become the go-to wideout in the Vikings offense this season. He has registered at least four receptions in every game this season and will take on a Panthers secondary that has been burned repeatedly all year. They have allowed 12 touchdowns to receivers this season and they are only one week removed from being destroyed by the Jets' Robby Anderson (146 yards, two touchdowns) and Jermaine Kearse (105 yards, one touchdown). Thielen is an excellent start in most formats and is a solid WR1 play in daily leagues for Week 14.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Registers Lowest Output Since October 22nd
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught four passes for only 51 yards as the Vikings beat the Falcons 14-9. Thielen had been on fire over the past month but the Falcons made it a point to bottle up the rising receiver. Thielen only saw five targets in a game where quarterback Case Keenum smartly moved the ball around. Thielen will be back on the WR1 radar next week against the Panthers.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Looks To Add On To First 1,000-Yard Season
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will have a tough matchup this Sunday against the Falcons. The Falcons defense has given up the fourth fewest fantasy points to receivers this season and only one touchdown catch since Week 9. Top receivers against the Falcons still manage to post solid fantasy stat lines, and Thielen is as must-start as it gets this season. He has caught three touchdowns over his last four games and already has career highs in receptions (70) and yards (1,005). He may see a dip in production, but Thielen is a WR1 this week after posting at least 89 receiving yards in five of his last six games.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Has Touchdown Streak Snapped
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen finished the Vikings 30-23 win over the Lions with eight receptions for 89 yards. Another strong performance for Thielen, who led the team with 11 targets, despite having this three-game touchdown streak snapped. That type of production couldn't have gone on for forever but Thielen continues to be one of the best wide receivers in the league this season. His performance also gave him the first 1,000-yard receiving season of his career with five games to go. Thielen is turning into be one of the best fantasy surprises of the season.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Ready To Gobble Up Fantasy Points
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has been absolutely on fire over his past five games, racking up 524 yards and three touchdowns for the streaking Vikings. He is averaging over 20 yards per catch the last three games and has scored in all of those games as he prepares to take on a Detroit Lions defense that has given up the 14th most fantasy points to the position. Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is having an excellent season and historically brings his best on Thanksgiving day, so the Vikings will need to air it out to win. Thielen is a sure-fire WR1 play in Week 12.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Delivers 123 Receiving Yards, One Touchdown
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught six passes for 123 yards, including making a great move on a 65-yard touchdown reception as the Vikings downed the Rams 24-7. Thielen saw a team-high nine targets in the game and has ascended to elite status in fantasy circles among pass catchers this season. Thielen and quarterback Case Keenum are on the same page and making beautiful music right now as the fantasy regular season is heading towards the finish line.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Projects As High-End WR2 In Week 11
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen is having a career season with 56 receptions for 793 yards and two touchdowns. He has caught touchdowns in consecutive weeks and has posted at least 90 receiving yards in three of his last four games. The chemistry he has with quarterback Case Keenum is growing by the second despite a tough matchup ahead against a Rams defense that has allowed the seventh fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers. The Rams have been tough but can be beat by superior receivers that see a lot of targets. Thielen has seen eight or more targets in a game eight of his nine games played this season. When an opponent sees more than eight targets against the Rams, that receiver averages 90.8 yards a game. Thielen is a strong bet to post solid fantasy numbers despite the matchup.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Posts Monster Fantasy Performance
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen exploded for 166 yards and one touchdown as the Vikings rode their offense to a 38-30 win over the Redskins. Thielen saw a team-high 12 targets in the game, catching eight passes, including a 7-yard pass from quarterback Case Keenum. Thielen has been a force for the offense this season and now he is catching touchdowns. His value will continue to rise looking forward to the next few games.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Has Tough Matchup
Adam Thielen this season has 48 receptions for 627 yards and one touchdown for the Vikings. He has four games of 90 receiving yards or more and finally caught his first touchdown two weeks ago in London. Passing the football may be tough sledding in Week 10 against a Redskins defense that has allowed the fifth fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season. It should be an active game for Thielen and he continues to possess solid PPR-value. But Washington's secondary is allowing 45.5 yards to starting wide receivers (minus the 108-yard performance of the Seahawks Doug Baldwin last week) and the Vikings will need to establish the running game. Thielen deserves WR3 status and should be quarterback Case Keenum's number one target in Week 10.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Catches First Touchdown Of Season
Adam Thielen was wide open in the end zone when he made his first touchdown catch of the season in the Vikings 33-16 victory in London over the Browns. Quarterback Case Keenum scrambled and found Theilen all by himself for the 18-yard score. Otherwise Thielen could be found all over the field, hauling in five passes for 98 yards in the game. Thielen has been the unquestionable number one target in the offense but the lack of touchdown's have hurt his value. Getting the first one out of the way is hopefully just the start for fantasy owners.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Travels To London Searching For First Touchdown
Adam Thielen hopes to catch his first touchdown of the season when the Vikings travel to London to take on the 0-7 Browns. Vikings will have wide receiver Stefon Diggs travel to London and he could possibly suit up to help the Minnesota passing game. Thielen leads the team with 43 receptions and 529 but is still looking to find the end zone. He will go up against a Browns secondary that has given up the fifth most receiving touchdowns (seven) to opposing wide receivers. The games in London are always tough to predict but Thielen has a strong chance to find pay dirt for the first time this season in Week 8. Thielen's value is best utilized in PPR-leagues.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Leads Vikings With 12 Targets
Adam Thielen caught five passes for 41 yards as the Vikings leaned on the running game en route to a 24-9 win over the Ravens. Thielen was targeted 12 times in the game so he still is the focal point of the passing game but the Vikings put up 169 rushing yards. When the Vikings defense is rolling and they can avoid forcing quarterback Case Keenum to carry the offense they find success. Thielen still has value in PPR-leagues but is still searching for his first touchdown catch of the season.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen's Value Rises Despite Tough Matchup
Adam Thielen should see plenty of targets Sunday when the Vikings take on the Ravens. With lead receiver Stefon Diggs working through a groin injury, Thielen should continue to lead the offense in targets. He will go up against a Ravens defense that has allowed the sixth fewest yards to opposing wide receivers this season. It should be a low scoring affair so Thielen's output will be helped most in PPR-leagues. Thielen is still looking for his first touchdown catch of the season but already has 38 receptions for 488 yards this season. He has 50 or more receiving yards in four of six games this season and is a solid FLEX/WR3 option despite being touchdown-starved.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Collects Five Receptions In Week 4
Vikings' receiver Adam Thielen has been a model of consistency as he hauled in five catches for the third consecutive week. After taking the league by storm in Week 1, Thielen returned to more manageable numbers as a viable WR3/FLEX play with WR2 upside. There are extreme concerns though. He's already lost two fumbles (leads receivers) and came up limping at one point against Detroit. One of many players looking for Sam Bradford's return, his expected ceiling remains limited.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Reemerges As Reliable Target
Case Keenum flipped the script in Sunday's win by turning to the receivers early and often. Adam Thielen was one of his favorite first half targets. Thielen finished the day with five receptions on eight targets for 98 yards. Stefon Diggs remains the favorite name in scoring situations, but Thielen is vital in moving the chains.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs Torch New Orleans Secondary
Vikings fans saw their two leading wide receivers find regular opportunity on Monday night. Adam Thielen failed to reach the end zone, but delivered a team-high 157 yards on nine receptions. His counterpart, Stefon Diggs, made a statement early with a pair of touchdowns and 93 yards on seven catches. It remains unclear how well Sam Bradford will balance the receivers and tight end Kyle Rudolph, but the potential is there.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Thrives In New Role
Receiver Adam Thielen may have seen limited opportunity against San Francisco, but he was perfect when given a chance. The new slot man pulled in five receptions on five targets for 50 yards in the close win to San Francisco. It remains unclear how the receiving corps in Minnesota will align, but Thielen should be regular target. His standard value remains low, but he is going overlooked in PPR-leagues.
1 year ago: Adam Thielen Increasingly Working In Slot Role
Expectations for receiver Adam Thielen continue to rise as Minnesota improves his role within the offense. Following a strong close to last season, Thielen has taken more reps in the slot. His move will not only open opportunity for himself, but allow Michael Floyd and Laquon Treadwell to line up one the outside. Thielen surprisingly led the team in receiving yards (967) and touchdowns (five) in 2016, but a few big games boosted his overall numbers. Thielen should continue to be heavily targeted in Minnesota's offense, and his versatility all over the field helps, but you shouldn't necessarily expect a breakout in 2017. The 27-year-old makes for a solid late-round pick for receiver depth, though, and he could be a valuable flex play based on the matchups.
2 years ago: Adam Thielen Looking For Long-Term Deal
Minnesota Vikings restricted free-agent wide receiver Adam Thielen and his agent are hoping for a long-term deal this offseason. If the Vikings don't seriously entertain a long-term contract, plenty of teams will be interested in the wideout after he broke out with 69 catches for a team-leading 967 yards and five touchdowns in 2016. He was the team's most effective and consistent deep threat after combining for only 20 catches in his first two seasons. It's fair to wonder if this is Thielen's ceiling in Minnesota, though, with Laquon Treadwell only expected to take on a larger role moving forward alongside Stefon Diggs. Until Thielen proves he can put up another strong season, he's at best a WR4/flex target.
2 years ago: Adam Thielen Breaks Out, Earns Plenty of Fantasy Consideration
In what proved to be a breakout season, specifically in the latter part of the 2016 campaign, Adam Thielen finished just 33 yards shy of the coveted 1,000-yard receiving mark, but still led the Vikings in that category. Thielen entered Week 17 needing only 40 yards through the air to reach that milestone, but stumbled and posted a one-catch on one-target performance to close out the season. Week 16 highlighted a surprising coming out party for Thielen, as the third-year receiver caught a career-high 12 catches on 15 targets for a career-high 202 yards and two touchdowns. Thielen did exceed his season best total of receiving yards by over 800, but his hands and established rapport with Sam Bradford will certainly give him plenty of late looks in next season's drafts.
