Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught two of his six targets for 61 yards in a 33-17 win over the Tennessee Titans. Aside from a 43-yard catch and run on a screen play at the end of the first half, Hilton was noticeably quiet in a game that had a playoff berth on the line. He finishes the 2018 season with 76 receptions, 1,270 receiving yards and six touchdowns, numbers which would have been higher but-for injuries that caused him to miss two games. For fantasy purposes, Hilton should be started against a Houston Texans team that the Colts trounced twice in the regular season when the two meet in the AFC Wild Card Round.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton, Eric Ebron Optimistic About Playing
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) and tight end Eric Ebron (concussion, knee) are both optimistic that they will play in the must-win Week 17 Sunday night game against the Titans, according to sources. Hilton hasn't really practiced much in the last three weeks, but he continues to play and has been very effective as the team's No. 1 wideout. He roasted the Titans for nine catches, 155 yards and two touchdowns the first time he faced them and will be a WR1. Ebron was on shaky ground but looks to be cleared from his concussion and will be an elite TE1 looking for his 13th touchdown of the season.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Questionable Against Titans
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 17 against the Titans after not practicing at all this week, but head coach Frank Reich hasn't given any indications that Hilton won't suit up for the must-win game. Unless Hilton suffers a setback between now and Sunday night, he's fully expected to play against a Titans team that he dominated earlier this year. Pencil in Hilton as a WR1 in a game the Colts must win to advance to the playoffs.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Still Missing From Practice
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) is missing his second straight day of practice on Thursday. Hilton has rarely seen the practice field in the last couple of weeks but continues to play on game day and has been very productive, going over 100 yards receiving in four of the last six games. Hilton also had nine catches for 155 yards and two touchdowns the last time he faced the Titans on Nov. 18. Even if he misses practice all week, Hilton should play in the must-win Week 17 game against Tennessee on Sunday night. He's a must-start.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Eclipses 100 Receiving Yards in Win
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught seven of his eight targets for 138 receiving yards in a 28-27 win over the New York Giants on Sunday. To many fantasy owners' delight, Hilton battled through injury and extended his streak of consecutive games with at least seven receptions to five. It is clear that a vertical threat is critical to the Colts offense being able to fire on all cylinders and Hilton will continue to be relied on to fill that role. In Week 17, a battle with the Tennessee Titans has plenty on the line for playoff implications and Hilton managed to burn them for 155 receiving yards and two touchdowns when these two teams met earlier in 2018. He should be slotted in fantasy lineups as a WR2 with immense upside for the last regular season game of the year.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Active Against Giants
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) is active for Week 16 against the Giants. Hilton has been fighting through injuries the last couple weeks and has missed a lot of practice time, but he's still active on game days. He's been one of the more consistent receivers for fantasy owners over the last four or five weeks, and he'll be a high-end WR2 against the Giants in a must-win game for the Colts.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Questionable For Week 16
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) got in a practice on Friday but is still questionable for Week 16 against the Giants. Hilton didn't practice at all last week but still played against Dallas and had five catches for 85 yards. He should be able to play this weekend, barring a setback, and he'll be a strong WR2 against the G-Men. Hilton has 67 catches for 1,071 yards and six touchdowns this year.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Practicing Friday
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) was back at practice after missing the sessions on Wednesday and Thursday. Hilton missed practice all of last week and still played against the Cowboys, so he'll be fine for Week 16 against the Giants in a must-win game. The team's No. 1 wideout has double-digit targets in three of the last four games and has gone over 100 yards in three of the last five games. He's a high-end WR2 this weekend.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton, Eric Ebron Sitting Out
Indianapolis Colts wide receivers T.Y. Hilton (ankle) and Dontrelle Inman (shoulder) and tight end Eric Ebron (quadriceps) were not practicing on Wednesday. The Colts continue to rest both Hilton and Ebron at practices early in the week, but both should be expected to face the Giant on Sunday. Hilton didn't practice at all last week and still played. Hilton is a strong WR2 for Week 16, while Ebron will continue to be a high-end TE1 for fantasy owners in a good matchup. Inman has very little fantasy value and can be avoided in most leagues.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Contributes Despite Blowout in Week 15
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught five of his team-leading eight targets for 85 yards in a 23-0 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. There wasn't much passing volume to be had from quarterback Andrew Luck in this one, as the Colts defense was able to completely shut out the Cowboys on each of their drives. For fantasy purposes, Hilton still managed to put up relatively decent numbers despite failing to find the end zone and should be a WR2 play with WR1 upside against the New York Giants in Week 16.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Active Against Cowboys
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) is active in Week 15 against the Cowboys. Hilton was a game-time decision after not practicing at all this week, but he will gut it out in a must-win game for Indy. Hilton had a big game last week against the Texans while playing injured and has WR2 upside again, albeit in a much tougher matchup against Dallas' stingy defense. Hilton and tight end Eric Ebron will be quarterback Andrew Luck's top targets.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Questionable Against Cowboys
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 15 against the Cowboys and didn't practice all week. Hilton will likely be a game-time decision Sunday morning. Have a backup plan in place in case he's inactive. If he plays, he'll be a WR2 even in a tough matchup after blowing up against Houston last week. If Hilton can't go, it'll be a big downgrade for quarterback Andrew Luck in an already tough spot. Some combination of Ryan Grant, Zach Pascal, Dontrelle Inman and Chester Rogers would fill in if Hilton can't play.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Has Yet To Practice
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) missed practice again on Friday and has yet to practice this week going into Week 15 against the Cowboys on Sunday. At this point, Hilton has to be considered extremely questionable to suit up this weekend. If you were planning on starting him as a WR2, you need to make backup plans just in case. The good news is his fantasy owners will know Sunday morning whether he's active. If Hilton sits out, Ryan Grant, Zach Pascal, Dontrelle Inman and Chester Rogers will need to step up in the passing game. It's impossible to predict which wideout would benefit the most as the second target behind tight end Eric Ebron.
3 months ago: Despite Injuries, T.Y. Hilton Should Produce Against Cowboys
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has been dinged up recently, dealing with a number of small injuries. However, the shift wide receiver has continued to produce in fantasy football with at least seven receptions in his last four games. In Week 15, he will have to contend with a Dallas Cowboys defense that is allowing the sixth-fewest yards to wide receivers and has been noticeably stingy against big plays. The Colts can't afford to hold Hilton back in this one if they want to pull out a win, meaning fantasy owners can expect WR2-type production when they put him in their lineups.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Still Absent Thursday
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) missed practice for the second straight day on Thursday. It's now become a concern for Hilton owners, although he missed several practice days last week and still played and went off against the Texans. If Hilton is able to practice on Friday, we'd feel a lot more comfortable using him as a WR2 against Dallas. If he winds up not playing, Ryan Grant, Chester Rogers and Dontrelle Inman would be used in three-receiver sets. Zach Pascal could also mix in.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Now Dealing With Ankle Injury
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) did not take part in practice on Wednesday. Tight end Mo Alie-Cox (calf) was limited and wide receiver Dontrelle Inman (shoulder) practiced in full, so they should both be able to return after missing last week. It always seems to be something with Hilton, but he played through injuries last Sunday and torched the Texans. He was able to finish the win over the Texans and should be able to play against Dallas in a tougher matchup. Hilton will be in play as a WR2 if he's able to suit up. We expect him to return to practice later this week.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Makes Texans Defense Look Silly in Week 14
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught nine of his 12 targets for 199 receiving yards in a 24-21 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday. Despite dealing with foot and shoulder injuries throughout the contest, 105 of his 199 receiving yards came in the second half and elevated the surging Colts offense with a vertical element. Since the Colts bye, Hilton has averaged seven receptions and 126 receiving yards per game. Fantasy owners will need to monitor Hilton's practices leading up to a Week 14 contest with the Dallas Cowboys where he offers WR2 value.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Playing Against Texans
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (shoulder), who was a game-time decision, is active in Week 14 against the Texans. Hilton had the first of his three 100-yard games this year against Houston on Sept. 30 and has hurt them often in his career. Houston's secondary isn't anything to write home about, so Hilton could easily have another big game in an important divisional matchup. Consider him a strong WR2 this Sunday for the first week of the fantasy playoffs.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Will Play Sunday
Indianapolis Colts star wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (Shoulder) is expected to play Sunday against the Houston Texans. After missing a couple practices earlier in the week, he practiced on Friday. In the past, he has had some big games against the Texans, which he stated earlier in the week. The Colts offense plays at a different level when Hilton is active, and quarterback Andrew Luck will surely be happy to see this news.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton To Be Game-Time Decision
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (shoulder) will be a game-time decision in Week 14 against the Texans. However, head coach Frank Reich is "feeling somewhat optimistic" that Hilton will play in an important divisional game. We think that Hilton will suit up against a team that he usually plays really well against. The game is an early one on Sunday, so fantasy owners will have the benefit of knowing right away whether Hilton will suit up. If he's active, he's a strong WR2. If he sits out, Ryan Grant and Chester Rogers would have bigger roles and would be DFS sleeper options.
3 months ago: T.Y. Hilton, Eric Ebron Return To Practice
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) and tight end Eric Ebron (illness) both returned to practice on Friday after sitting out the previous two days. Both players will play in an important divisional game in Week 14 against the Texans and should be in all starting lineups. Hilton went over 100 yards against Houston in their first matchup and has torched them in his career. Ebron had 15 targets last week and is a huge part of the passing offense with Jack Doyle out for the season. He's a high-end TE1.
4 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Can Exploit Vulnerable Texans Secondary in Week 14
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (shoulder) hasn't been practicing for a Week 14 tilt with the Houston Texans, but fantasy owners should without a doubt fire him up if he manages to play. Aside from the fact that he is getting 25.8 percent of the team's targets over their past four games and had seven or more receptions in three straight games, Texans starting defensive back Jonathan Joseph is dealing with a neck injury that puts his status in jeopardy. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is looking to start fresh after his dismal performance against Jacksonville and Hilton's fantasy owners will be the beneficiaries.
4 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Expected To Play Against Texans
While Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton's (shoulder) status against the Texans for Week 14 is a concern, The Athletic's Stephen Holder can't imagine Hilton sitting out this weekend. He'll probably need to get in some practice work Friday to have a chance of playing, however. Hilton had four catches (six targets) for 115 yards in the first meeting with the Texans this year and has burned them consistently in his career. If he plays, Hilton will be a strong WR2 choice. If he ends up sitting, Ryan Grant and Chester Rogers will need to step up in the passing game.
4 months ago: T.Y. Hilton, Eric Ebron Still Not Practicing
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (shoulder) and tight end Eric Ebron (illness) both appear to not be practicing for the second straight day on Thursday. The Colts may just being cautious with their two best pass-catching playmakers, but this could be concerning for the Colts offense heading into Week 14 against the Texans. They will both need to get in a practice on Friday to make fantasy owners comfortable with leaving them in their lineups. If they both play, however, they could both have big games in a must-win against a tough divisional opponent.
4 months ago: Eric Ebron, T.Y. Hilton Sit Out Wednesday
Indianapolis Colts tight end Eric Ebron (back, illness) and wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (shoulder) both sat out of practice on Wednesday. Ebron continues to fight and play through injuries and will remain a high-end TE1 as long as he's active. He had a season-high 10 catches on 16 targets for 81 yards in the Week 13 loss to the Jaguars and has 11 touchdowns on the season. Houston has been vulnerable against tight ends this year, too. Hilton had eight catches for 77 yards against shutdown corner Jalen Ramsey last week and will have WR2 upside against Houston this weekend. He should play.
4 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Puts Up Solid Numbers Against Jacksonville
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught eight of his 13 targets for 77 yards in a 0-6 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Finishing second only to tight end Eric Ebron in targets and receiving yards, Hilton managed to put up a solid stat line considering his rough matchup with Jaguars star defensive back Jalen Ramsey. Hilton appeared to suffer a right shoulder injury in the fourth quarter of the contest, but came back shortly thereafter and should hopefully be ready to go next week when the Colts take on a Houston Texans defense that just lost starting corner Jonathan Joseph.
4 months ago: T.Y. Hilton, Marlon Mack Return To Practice
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (groin) and running back Marlon Mack (concussion) both returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday. Both players should be able to play in Week 13 against the Jaguars, barring setbacks. Hilton has recorded 125 yards in each of the last two weeks, but his outlook will depend on whether Jags cornerback Jalen Ramsey (knee) is shadowing him this Sunday. At worst, Hilton will be a low-end WR2. Mack is the team's workhorse back when healthy and has RB2 upside as long as he clears the concussion protocol before Sunday.
4 months ago: T.Y. Hilton, Eric Ebron, Mo Alie-Cox Miss Practice
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (groin) and tight ends Eric Ebron (back) and Mo Alie-Cox (calf) missed practice on Wednesday. It remains to be seen if Hilton and Ebron are actually in danger of missing Week 13 against the Jaguars. Alie-Cox sat out in Week 12 and might miss another game. Ebron is the unquestioned pass-catching tight end for the Colts now that Jack Doyle is on Injured Reserve. Ebron will be a strong TE1 if he suits up this week. Hilton's matchup will be much nicer if Jaguars top cornerback Jalen Ramsey (knee) misses Sunday. Keep track of Hilton's and Ebron's practice status later this week.
4 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Posts Back-To-Back 100-Yard Receiving Games
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught seven of his 10 targets for 125 yards in a 27-24 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. After posting only a single 100-receiving yard game through the first 10 weeks of the regular season, Hilton now has two in back to back performances. The Colts offensive game plan was clearly to get him the ball early, as Hilton led the team in targets with six more than the next wide receiver. Unfortunately for his fantasy owners, Hilton may come back down to earth in Week 13 when he has to face off against star defensive back Jalen Ramsey in a tilt with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
4 months ago: Increasing Volume Makes T.Y. Hilton a Solid Play in Week 12
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton posted his first WR-1 finish on the season against the Tennessee Titans last week, accumulating 155 receiving yards on nine receptions for two touchdowns. While it could be considered an anomaly in what has been an overall underwhelming season for Hilton, his target share has gone from 24.1 percent and 28.1 percent over his last two games. A tilt with Miami Dolphins defensive back Xavien Howard could limit his overall productivity, but Hilton's rapport with quarterback Andrew Luck makes him a solid option for fantasy owners looking to plug him in as a WR2.
4 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Explodes Against Tennessee
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught all nine of his targets for 155 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-10 romping of the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. A vintage performance from Hilton was all that fantasy owners could have asked for, with Hilton beating Titans defensive back Adoree Jackson over the top for a 68-yard score and converting a short check down into a 12-yard touchdown. It is hard to say whether or not Hilton's involvement in the offense can remain at this lofty ceiling, but it certainly can't hurt for quarterback Andrew Luck to rekindle the connection that led to Hilton leading the league in receiving yards in 2016. Hilton should be a great start in Week 12 when the Colts take on the Miami Dolphins.
4 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Could Surprise Against Tennessee
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton hasn't been the prolific fantasy wide receiver most owners expected when they drafted him, with only four touchdowns on the season and less than five receptions in four of his seven games. The good news is that Hilton has seen his targets and yardage increase in each game since returning from chest and hamstring injuries in Week 7. The bad news is that the Tennessee Titans are allowing the fewest offensive touchdowns per game. Fortunately for Hilton's fantasy owners, Tennessee is largely vulnerable to boundary wide receivers and have allowed a top-24 fantasy finish for a wide receiver in five consecutive games. Expect WR2 numbers with WR1 upside should he find the end zone.
4 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Leads Colts in Receiving Yards in Week 10
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton hauled in three of his seven targets for 77 yards in a 29-26 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10. The Colts tight end group was heavily targeted in the contest and Jaguars defensive back Jalen Ramsey held him in check, but Hilton was able to break away for a 35-yard receptions in the first quarter. Fantasy owners are surely disappointed with Hilton's usage over his last three games, but the new-look Colts offense that head coach Frank Reich has implemented clearly relies on making quick passes to big-bodied targets. Hilton should have a better time with the Tennessee Titans in Week 11.
4 months ago: T.Y. Hilton One to Fade Against Jacksonville
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has been a virtual non-factor on the field since returning from a hamstring injury with a total of five receptions for 59 yards and two touchdowns across two games. Unfortunately, fantasy owners aren't likely to get a bounce-back game from the shifty wideout when the Colts take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10. The Jaguars are averaging a league-best 190 passing yards per game and have been especially stingy on the perimeter with defensive backs Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye anchoring both sides of the field. There is some solace to be found in the fact that Hilton has run 45 percent of his routes from the slot since returning and four of Jacksonville's five touchdowns scored against them by wide receivers came from the slot. However, Hilton should only be trusted as a WR2 at best with minimal touchdown upside.
5 months ago: T.Y. Hilton A Non-Factor Against Oakland
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught one of his five targets for 34 yards in the team's 42-28 win over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. Hilton's lone reception came in the third quarter when he caught a 34-yard bomb from quarterback Andrew Luck. While the Raiders didn't seem to have an answer for the Colts tight end group, giving up 10 receptions for 133 yards and three touchdowns to the position, Indianapolis' wide receiver core wasn't heavily involved in this game. Fantasy owners for Hilton should be aware by now that the Colts want to keep the ball on the ground as much as possible when the game script favors it to avoid high-volume passing games for Luck. Hilton will have a Week 9 bye to get back on track before facing the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10.
5 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Draws Great Matchup Against Oakland
What could have been a disappointing return for Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton last week was salvaged by two touchdown receptions. Although Hilton played only 53-percent of the team's offensive snaps in Week 7, his six targets inside of the 10-yard line on the year should inspire confidence that he will produce against a highly vulnerable Oakland Raiders defense. With his snap count increasing as he continues to get more healthy, Hilton is a great fantasy football play in Week 8.
5 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Salvages Fantasy Day With Two Scores
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught four passes for 25 yards and two touchdowns in a blowout 37-5 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. While Hilton's reception and yardage totals were clearly lacking in his return to action, the shifty wideout managed to haul in two scores within the Bills' five-yard line and salvage what would have been a terrible fantasy performance. With no visible signs of being hobbled by his hamstring issue, fantasy owners should be excited for Hilton going up against a vulnerable Oakland Raiders secondary in Week 8.
5 months ago: Colts Optimistic T.Y. Hilton Will Play
Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich is optimistic that wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) will play in Week 7 against the Bills after missing the last two games. It's great news for quarterback Andrew Luck, especially since Ryan Grant is out and Marcus Johnson landed on Injured Reserve. However, consider Hilton more of a WR3 this weekend if he returns. He could be playing at less than 100 percent and has a tough matchup with Bills shutdown cornerback Tre'Davious White.
5 months ago: T.Y. Hilton on Track to Face Bills
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) is expected to be ready when the team takes on the Buffalo Bills in Week 7 after logging a full practice session on Wednesday. However, the Bills have been a noticeably stingy defense against opposing wide receivers, allowing only 9.4 yards per completion and 4.9 yards per play on defense. If the Colts accumulate an early lead against whichever backup quarterback will be set to start for the Bills, expect a run-heavy game script and a rough outing for Hilton's return game.
5 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Practices In Full
Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (chest, hamstring) is practicing in full on Wednesday after missing the last two games. The guys need me, Hilton said earlier in the day. So Im here for them. However, neither Hilton nor head coach Frank Reich are guaranteeing that he suits up in Week 7 against the Bills. Hilton's return will be welcomed, as Ryan Grant is hurt and Marcus Johnson landed on Injured Reserve. Hilton would be a low-end WR2 if he returns in a tough matchup with cornerback Tre'Davious White.
5 months ago: T.Y. Hilton To Be Limited Wednesday
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) will be limited in practice on Wednesday, but he hinted that he would be able to play at less than 100 percent in Week 7 against the Bills. My less (than 100 percent) is better than a lot of people," Hilton said. Hilton has missed the last couple of games, and the Colts offense could really use him back with Ryan Grant now injured and Marcus Johnson on Injured Reserve. Hilton's return would push Chester Rogers to the No. 2 wideout. Hilton would be a low-end WR2 for fantasy owners if he returns at less than 100 percent this Sunday.
5 months ago: T.Y. Hilton, Jack Doyle Ruled Out
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (chest, hamstring) and tight end Jack Doyle (hip) have officially been ruled out for Week 6 against the Jets. Hilton and Doyle didn't practice all week, so it's no surprise here. They should have a better shot at returning next week with more time to rest. Tight end Eric Ebron, although banged up himself, will remain a high-end TE1 with Doyle on the sidelines. In Hilton's absence, Chester Rogers and Ryan Grant remain the top wideouts. Rogers is a decent WR3 with New York's secondary missing cornerbacks Trumaine Johnson and Buster Skrine this weekend.
5 months ago: T.Y. Hilton, Jack Doyle Not Expected To Play
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (chest, hamstring) and tight end Jack Doyle (hip) missed practice again on Friday and are not expected to play in Week 6 against the Jets. Both players also sat out last Thursday against the Pats. Indy's offense has limited options around them, but Chester Rogers and Ryan Grant should remain the top two wideouts, while tight end Eric Ebron should also remain heavily active in the passing game. The good news is the Jets secondary is pretty beat up right now.
5 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Still Out Thursday
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (chest, hamstring) remained out of practice for the second straight day on Thursday. Hilton missed last weekend's game and is appearing doubtful for Week 6 against the Jets. With tight end Jack Doyle also unlikely to play and now Eric Ebron questionable with multiple injuries, the Colts could be looking at receivers Chester Rogers and Ryan Grant and tight end Erik Swoope as their top pass catchers.
5 months ago: T.Y. Hilton, Jack Doyle, Eric Ebron Miss Practice
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (chest, hamstring), tight ends Jack Doyle (hip) and Eric Ebron (ankle, knee, quadriceps, shin) and rookie linebacker Darius Leonard (ankle) all missed practice on Wednesday. The Chiefs are one of the most banged-up teams in the NFL. Hilton and Doyle are both week-to-week and look to be in danger of missing another game. It's also a big concern that Ebron is sitting out, as he's been a high-end TE1 with Doyle sidelined. With Hilton possibly out again against the Jets, Chester Rogers and Ryan Grant should remain the top two wideouts. Leonard was close to returning on a short week last Thursday, so he should be able to return if he gets in some practices to close out the week. If active, Leonard is a fine IDP option.
5 months ago: T.Y. Hilton, Jack Doyle Remain Week-To-Week
Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich said wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) and tight end Jack Doyle (hip) remain week-to-week. It doesn't sound like either player is close to returning for Week 6 against the Jets, but we'll have to wait and see how much they can do in practice this week. If neither play again, it'll once again hamstring quarterback Andrew Luck against an underrated defense. Receiver Chester Rogers is the best fantasy bet if Hilton remains out. He's had 22 targets each of the last two games with 16 catches over that span. Eric Ebron has been the beneficiary of Doyle's injury, becoming a strong TE1 with 19 catches on 36 targets and three touchdowns the last three weeks.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Officially Out for Week 5
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (chest, hamstring) has officially been ruled out for the team's Week 5 matchup with the New England Patriots. Hilton injured his chest in the first quarter last week and pulled his hamstring in the fourth quarter after coming back into the game. Fantasy owners should not look to any members of the Colts receiving core as streaming options, as spell back Nyheim Hines and tight end Eric Ebron are likely to draw the majority of the team's targets.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton, Marlon Mack, Jack Doyle Ruled Out
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (chest, hamstring), running back Marlon Mack (hamstring) and tight end Jack Doyle (hip) have all been ruled out for Thursday night against the Patriots. Hilton leads the team with 21 catches for 294 yards on 38 targets through four weeks. That leaves the Colts criminally short-handed against New England. The Pats D is a worthy streamer this week as a result. In the passing game, Chester Rogers, Ryan Grant and Zach Pascal will take on bigger roles and could all be sleeper plays in deeper leagues. Tight end Eric Ebron will also be heavily targeted and has TE1 upside. In the backfield, rookies Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines should share the workload. Robert Turbin, fresh off his suspension, could be mixed in on short-yardage plays. Hines is attractive as a PPR flex after breaking out last weekend.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Out Again Tuesday
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (chest, hamstring) missed his second straight practice on Tuesday. It's not looking good for Hilton's chances of suiting up in Week 5 this Thursday night against the Patriots. If you have him, starting planning to be without him this week. If Hilton is inactive, Chester Rogers and Ryan Grant should be quarterback Andrew Luck's main receivers, although Zach Pascal could be a sleeper flex consideration in deeper leagues. Tight end Eric Ebron would also be a strong TE1 if Jack Doyle misses another game. Rookie linebacker Darius Leonard (foot) was also wearing a boot on the sidelines during practice on Tuesday. It looks like he'll miss his first game of the season. Leonard has been exceptional and has four sacks in four games. He's on the IDP map, but it looks like you will be without him this week.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Misses Practice Monday
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (chest, hamstring) did not practice on Monday. The Colts could just be resting Hilton with a short week before facing the Patriots this Thursday, but this is something to watch. Hilton caught four passes on six targets in the Week 4 loss to the Texans, but he did have a season-high 115 yards for his efforts. If he's forced to sit this week, Indy would be relying on Ryan Grant and Chester Rogers as their top two receivers, along with tight end Eric Ebron.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Goes Over 100 Receiving Yards, Likely to Miss Week 5
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) caught four passes for 115 yards in a 34-37 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday. While Hilton was able to succeed with limited work, the greater concern right now is a hamstring injury that he suffered in the third quarter. According to head coach Frank Reich, Hilton is looking doubtful to play in Week 5 when the Colts take on the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football. Fantasy owners should carefully monitor the situation, but it seems like the Colts will rest Hilton on a short week.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Leaves Week 4 Game With Chest Injury
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (chest) left the team's Week 4 game against the Houston Texans with a chest injury. Hilton made a huge 40-yard catch before landing hard on the football he had in his grip, ultimately leading to the injury. His return is questionable.
6 months ago: Fire Up T.Y. Hilton With Confidence in Week 4
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is well on his way to having a successful bounce-back year in fantasy football with double-digit targets in every game this season and an average of 10.5 yards per reception. More solid production is likely to come when the Colts take on the Houston Texans in Week 4, as Hilton has five 100-yard games against his AFC South divisional rival across his career. Fire up Hilton with confidence as a potential WR1 play against a vulnerable Houston secondary.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Leads Team in Receptions in Loss
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught five passes for 50 yards in the team's 16-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Despite the tough Philadelphia secondary trying to smother him early, Hilton managed to reach the double-digit target mark for a third consecutive game. The ceiling of the Colts offense as a whole is highly contingent upon quarterback Andrew Luck's ability to push the ball downfield, leaving Hilton to fill more of a possession role until his quarterback regains his arm strength. Hilton will look to bounce back against the Houston Texans in Week 4.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton, Christine Michael Will Play
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (quadriceps) and running back Christine Michael (illness) both practiced in full on Friday and have been taken off the final Week 3 injury report against the Eagles. Hilton will once again be quarterback Andrew Luck's favorite target this weekend, especially with tight end Jack Doyle (hip) out. Hilton has seen a healthy 22 targets through two weeks and remains a strong WR2 option despite the less-than-ideal matchup. Michael should see more work behind rookies Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines with Marlon Mack out, but Michael isn't a realistic starting option for fantasy owners.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Returns To Practice Friday
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (quadriceps) returned to practice on Friday. It's a good sign after he sat out both Wednesday and Thursday. Hilton should be fine for Week 3 against the Eagles and remains quarterback Andrew Luck's favorite target. The 28-year-old has 12 catches on 22 targets for 129 yards and two touchdowns through two weeks of the season.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Absent From Practice on Thursday
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (quad) was absent from the team's Thursday practice while nursing a quad injury. Hilton draws a plus matchup in Week 3 against a Philadelphia Eagles squad that allowed big weeks for Julio Jones and Mike Evans, so his fantasy owners should be careful to monitor the wideout's status leading up to Sunday. A limited practice on Friday should be a positive sign that Hilton is ready to go.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton a Must-Start Option in Week 3
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is coming off of a huge bounce-back game in which he caught seven passes for 83 yards and a touchdown and fantasy owners can expect his success to continue against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3. Philadelphia does boast a challenging defensive front for the Colts offense as a whole, but that same defense has allowed three top-12 scoring wide receivers in Julio Jones and Mike Evans. With Hilton receiving the volume to be successful, a consistent 11 targets through two games, fantasy owners can plug him into their lineup with confidence.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Says He's Fine
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (quadriceps), who was held out of practice on Wednesday, said he's fine. "I'm feeling good. I'm still getting there. I should be fine. Nothing to worry about," Hilton said Thursday. He played 54 of the team's 90 offensive snaps in the Week 2 win over the Redskins and had seven catches for 83 yards and a touchdown. Hilton has a tougher matchup in the Eagles this Sunday, but he should still be in play as a WR2 as quarterback Andrew Luck's favorite target.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Sits Out Practice With Quad Injury
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (quad) sat out the team's Wednesday practice with a quad injury. Hilton is coming off a huge performance where he led the Colts in receiving yards and played on 55 of 61 offensive snaps, so his health is something to monitor throughout the week. There is no indication so far that he will miss the team's Week 3 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, but fantasy owners should check up on whether the shifty wideout practices on Thursday and Friday.
6 months ago: Marlon Mack, T.Y. Hilton, Jack Doyle Miss Practice
The Indianapolis Colts were without several players at practice on Wednesday. Running back Marlon Mack, wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, and tight end Jack Doyle all were absent due to undisclosed reasons. Mack had dealt with a hamstring issue and Hilton with a shoulder problem prior to Week 2, but Doyle is a noticeable absence given he had limped to the sideline after a direct hit on his knee in the team's contest with the Washington Redskins. More information is likely to come on whether injuries are a factor in the trio missing practice and fantasy owners should keep an eye out for updates.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Explodes Against Washington
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton hauled in seven passes for 83 yards and a touchdown in a 21-9 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday. Fantasy owners who were hoping for a statement game from Hilton were pleasantly surprised when he bested one of the league's top defensive backs in Josh Norman on multiple routes early, making five receptions for 71 yards in the first half. Although his reception totals took a dip when the Colts had accumulated a lead, Hilton's performance signals that the 28-year old wideout still has a strong connection with quarterback Andrew Luck. He will be a must-start against a stout Philadelphia Eagles defense in Week 3 despite the tough matchup.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Scores Touchdown Versus Cincinnati
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught five passes for 46 yards and a touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The Andrew Luck-T.Y. Hilton connection looks good so far this regular season, as the two were clearly in sync throughout the game and showed exceptional timing on their completions. If the Colts' high-powered offense can continue to prosper in Week 2 against the Washington Redskins, Hilton owners are looking at a big return on their investment in 2018.
6 months ago: T.Y. Hilton, Andrew Luck Connection Looks Strong
After a long absence, the Indianapolis Colts star duo of wide receiver T.Y. Hilton and quarterback Andrew Luck look to pick up where they left off prior to Luck's shoulder saga. They were one of the more lethal duos no matter the defense they were playing. Until a consistent second wide receiver emerges, Hilton should be in for a huge workload. He and Luck make magic happen when they connect. They make for a very interesting but expensive stack in DFS lineups.
7 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Returns to Practice
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (shoulder) returned to practice on Wednesday. Hilton missed the team's second preseason game while nursing a small shoulder issue, but it appears the speedy wideout is ready to return to action. The Colts are in desperate need of help at the wide receiver position and fantasy owners are well aware that Hilton is the only relevant pass catcher in that group right now. Depending on how quarterback Andrew Luck performs coming off of shoulder surgery, Hilton should be able to bounce back from a statistically down 2017 season.
8 months ago: Andrew Luck-T.Y. Hilton Connection Strong as Ever
Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich commented that the connection between quarterback Andrew Luck and wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is as strong as ever, according to Kevin Bowen of 1070theFan. "[Hilton] might not always run the route exactly how you're going to coach him to do it," Luck reportedly said to Reich, "but I promise you I know exactly what he's doing and let's just let it happen." The duo of Luck and Hilton has produced plenty of 1,000-receiving yard seasons and Pro Bowl honors. With the two now looking to pick up where they left off, fantasy owners have every reason to be excited about the heights the team could reach. If Luck can remain healthy, he will sit firmly in the QB1 conversation while Hilton should return WR1 value,
10 months ago: T.Y. Hilton "All In" on New Coaches and Staff
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is reportedly completely buying into the team's new body of coaches and staff heading into 2018, per Zak Keefer of the Indy Star. "He's giving us everything he's got, he's all in", Keefer tweeted he has heard. Hilton, who is looking to rebound from a mediocre season in which he finished under 1,000 receiving yards for the first time since 2012, seems to have more pep in his step thanks to the various reforms in Indianapolis. If quarterback Andrew Luck manages to come back at full health, count on Hilton rebounding to pristine fantasy form next season.
11 months ago: T.Y. Hilton Embracing a New Era for Colts
As a member of the old guard for a young Indianapolis Colts squad, wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is excited for what the future holds, according to Zak Keefer of the Indy Star. Hilton is the third longest-tenured Colt, only behind kicker Adam Vinatieri and left tackle Anthony Castonzo, with six years of relevant fantasy production to his name. When asked about what his plans are for 2018, Hilton stated "first of all... we gotta get this division back." While Hilton has many exceptional stat lines on his resume, his success for next season will largely depend on who is throwing him the football. As long as that variable is uncertain, it's hard to invest too heavily in the aging pro.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton a Non-Factor Against Houston
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught three passes for 14 yards in a 22-13 victory over the Houston Texans. Hilton's final game of the 2017 season highlights what has been an extremely inconsistent and overall unproductive year for the shifty wideout, with four 100-yard games dispersed around eight other games of 30 yards or fewer. It will be interesting to see how new general manager Chris Ballard decides to handle Hilton's contract, as he is signed through 2020 but was drafted and paid by the former Colts regime. A big splash signing at wide receiver might lower Hilton's fantasy value but help the offense as a whole.
1 year ago: Trust T.Y. Hilton Against Houston
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has been the model of inconsistency in 2017, largely failing to live up to his second/third round average draft position. While problems at quarterback have been a big part of his lack of success, the Colts have seemingly neglected to include him in game plans despite him being a clear-cut No. 1 wideout. That being said, fantasy owners will be relieved to see a matchup with the Houston Texans for Hilton's final game of the regular season. Hilton caught five passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns in their last meeting and Houston's defense has allowed the second-most PPR points to wide receivers this year. At the risk of over-hyping him, Hilton has clear WR1 upside and should provide fantasy owners with a significant return on investment.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Puts Out 100 Receiving Yards Against Ravens
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught six passes for 100 yards in a 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday. It seemed like Hilton's lack of involvement in recent weeks resulted in the Colts making a point of getting him the ball early and often, with the sixth-year wideout finishing the game having a season-high 12 total targets to his name. Hilton will face the Houston Texans in Week 17 if the Colts do not plan on sitting their starters.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton a Liability in Fantasy Lineups for Week 16
Fantasy owners have been chasing the big play with Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, who now faces a Baltimore Ravens squad ranked ninth against the pass. The loss of cornerback Jimmy Smith for the season might make it seem like the odds are in his favor here, but Hilton has had only one reception longer than 16 yards over his past five games and the forecast looks to project a rainy day in Baltimore. A ground-oriented game means a no-go for the No. 1 Colts wideout in Week 16.
1 year ago: T.Y Hilton Hauls In Five Passes Versus Denver
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (hand) caught five passes for 41 yards in a 25-13 loss to the Denver Broncos on Thursday. After suffering a slight hand injury in the second quarter, he managed to come back into the game swiftly and be the only Colts wide receiver to catch a pass. Owners in PPR formats have to be happy with both his five receptions and the yardage being his third most across his past nine games, but he will have another rough matchup in Week 16 against the Baltimore Ravens, where fantasy owners will face another tough start/sit decision.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Has Huge Bust Potential in Week 15
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton was largely a bust due to abhorrent weather conditions in Week 14 with only two catches for 20 yards. He has been held under 60 yards in four straight weeks and should continue that streak against the Denver Broncos with cornerback Chris Harris Jr. likely to shade him around the formation. Owners are well aware of the awful floor that Hilton possesses and should only play him this week if in need of some form of explosive potential, despite how minimal the odds may be.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Vanishes in the Snow Against Bills
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught two passes for 20 yards in a 13-7 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. The heavy snow sliced any passing volume for both teams, resulting in a much more ground-oriented game. Furthermore, both starting quarterbacks completed only 50 percent of their passes and prevented any opportunity to accumulate fantasy points. Hilton will be shaded by cornerback Chris Harris Jr. in a Week 15 matchup with the Denver Broncos, meaning he may have another rough outing to follow.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton a Solid Flex Play vs. Buffalo
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton still carries a boom-or-bust designation even after a solid performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13, but owners have plenty to be excited about with the thought of Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White likely to sit this Sunday's game out. Although he's reached 20 percent of the team targets in just two of his past seven games and had 60 yards in a game just three times, Hilton is worthy of flex consideration in a passing attack that is used to playing from behind.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Salvages Night with 40-Yard TD
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught three passes for 51 yards and a touchdown in a 30-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Most of his yardage came on a 40-yard touchdown pass where the Jaguars defender did a sloppy job of tackling. Hilton continues to see low target counts against tough pass defenses, but it was fortunate that he managed to come away from this contest with an explosive play to reward fantasy owners. He will get a plus matchup in Week 14 against the Buffalo Bills.
1 year ago: Week 13 is One to Bench T.Y. Hilton
In 2017, T.Y. Hilton has been the definition of filling one of two extremes: insane week-winning production or horrendous week-losing duds. Although his fantasy points have fluctuated, it has been relatively easy to predict when to bench him and when not to. Week 13 is one of those games, with the team facing off against the top-ranked Jacksonville Jaguars passing defense and shut-down cornerback Jalen Ramsey. They have managed to stymie some of the best wide receivers in the league and should do so once again with a Colts offense that has struggled to play four quarters of football.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Musters 15 Receiving Yards on Sunday
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught two passes for 15 yards in the team's 20-16 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett had Hilton wide open for an early first-quarter score that he didn't pull the trigger on and he later overthrew the shifty wideout on another deep bomb in the third quarter. Titans corner Adoree Jackson provided consistent coverage where it counted, leading Brissett to turn to his tight end and other short-range options more often. Up next is a tough matchup with Jacksonville and their dominant No. 1 corner in Jalen Ramsey who will no doubt cause Hilton additional troubles.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Draws Great Matchup with Tennessee
Fantasy owners who drafted Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton with a second or third round pick are likely disappointed with the up and down production he has displayed through ten regular season games. However, the team's Week 12 matchup with the Tennessee Titans is one that Hilton can undoubtedly return on investment, as the Titans are allowing 36.3 PPR points per game and eight touchdowns to wide receivers on the road. Although "ghost" has been anything but a weekly start, slot him in with confidence.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Drops another Dud on Sunday
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught two passes for 23 yards in a 20-17 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. As if right on cue, a tough matchup managed to keep Hilton quiet for most of contest. He will continue to be a boom-or-bust play when the team faces off against the Tennessee Titans in Week 12.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Listed as Active Versus Steelers
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (groin), who was listed as questionable heading into Sunday, is listed as active for the team's Week 10 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. After logging limited work in practice all week, it seems as if the shifty wideout is ready to try and take on a stingy Pittsburgh defense that ranks near the top of the league against both the pass and the run. He carries high to low-WR3 value.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton A Game-Time Decision
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (groin) is a game-time decision for the Week 10 matchup against the Steelers. The veteran receiver has been dealing with the nagging injury and was a limited participant at practice all week as a result. Hilton is coming off of a massive five catch, 175 yard performance against the Houston Texans that also included two touchdowns. If he is able to go, he has a rough matchup against a Pittsburgh team that is giving up only 921 yards and four scores on the season which would ultimately make him a less than desirable option.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Listed as Questionable for Week 10
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (groin) is listed as questionable for Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Hilton has been dealing with a groin injury that he suffered against the Houston Texans last week. That particular injury can be a nagging one for an NFL player, but the Colts will need everyone they can get to pull out an improbable win over a tough Steeler defense. Hilton carries WR-3 value in this particular matchup considering the likelihood of bust production and the injury limiting snaps.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Offers Volatility vs. Pittsburgh
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has had his ups and downs this season, though his overall level of production has been significantly stymied compared to previous years. His blow-up games have become easy to predict, as they have all come against bottom-10 pass defenses. Unfortunately, this week's matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers looks to be one where Hilton will be held in check. The Steelers have allowed the NFL's fourth-fewest yards (921) to enemy wideouts with only three receivers having cleared 65 yards against them in eight games. Owners who can afford to do so should undoubtedly leave him on the bench, but his name value alone will likely keep him in many starting lineups.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Listed on Thursday Injury Report
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (groin) was limited in practice on Thursday with a groin injury, per Colts.com. In the wake of his blowout game against the Houstan Texans on Sunday in which he had 175 receiving yards and two touchdowns, it appears the speedy wideout might have sustained an injury at some point either during or after the contest. Hilton should still be on track to play against the stingy Pittsburgh Steelers defense and is a low to mid-range WR2.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Dominates Texans' Secondary in Win
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton was his old explosive self on Sunday in a 20-10 win over the Houston Texans, catching five passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns. Hilton made the Houston corners look silly on a couple of 45-plus yard touchdowns, rebounding from what has been fairly abhorrent play of late. He should continue to be a boom or bust option in 2017, but the hope is that quarterback Jacoby Brissett has developed a consistent rapport with him on the deep ball that can help his production.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Could Bounce Back Against the Texans
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has struggled to find a role in the offense as of late, catching fewer than three passes over his last three games. With quarterback Jacoby Brissett slated to continue to be the starter, Hilton owners will have to accept that the speedster wideout is not going to perform to his draft position for the rest of 2017. However, the Houston Texans are allowing a league-high 9.3 yards per target to opposing wide receivers and could be an opportunity for a bounce-back game. As one of the best playmakers on the Colts' offense, Hilton should definitely be in your lineup due to the absence of quality options with several teams on bye.
1 year ago: Colts Need to Find Ways to Get T.Y. Hilton "Free Access"
Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano told the media on Wednesday that the team needs to find ways to get wide receiver T.Y. Hilton "free access" to the football. Hilton has literally lived up to his 'ghost' nickname in recent weeks, but the hope is that an increasingly confident quarterback in Jacoby Brissett can find ways to get him involved. Brissett has clearly favored the short-range passing game and dump-off passes to keep the chains moving, meaning Hilton's floor can be abhorrently low by virtue of a lack of targets. Expect low-WR2 to high-WR3 output for the rest of the 2017 season.
1 year ago: Teams Making "Several Calls" About T.Y. Hilton Trade
Chris Mortensen of ESPN is reporting that the Indianapolis Colts are receiving "several calls" about trading for wide receiver T.Y. Hilton. As the trade deadline of 4pm ET on Tuesday fast approaches, fantasy owners will know soon enough whether a change of scenery can help the fifth year wideout regain his mojo. He has struggled over the last three weeks with only five catches for 61 yards largely due to how quarterback Jacoby Brissett primarily targets his tight ends and check down options. Although it is unlikely any team would be able to make an offer that blows the Colts away with so little time left, the best thing for Hilton's fantasy production in 2017 might be to head somewhere else.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton a Possible Trade Candidate?
NBC Sports analyst Mike Florio reports that the Indianapolis Colts are "willing to move" wide receiver T.Y. Hilton after falling to a 2-6 record with Sunday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. While the Colts offense has been able to generate decent offensive numbers in recent weeks, it has largely been without major contributions from Hilton. His five catches for 61 yards over the team's last three games, which all ended in losses, signal one of many issues with getting the shifty playmaker involved in the passing game. Hilton will play out the rest of 2017 as a boom or bust-type option with WR2 upside.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton a Non-Factor Against Cincinnati
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton was virtually absent in the team's 24-23 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, catching two passes for 15 yards. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett has shown clear favoritism for tight end Jack Doyle and running back Marlon Mack, with those two garnering more than 50-percent of the receptions on the team. Fantasy owners will have to accept that Hilton is more of a boom-or-bust play in 2017 without Andrew Luck under center and his prospects for Week 9 do not look much better against the Houston Texans.
1 year ago: Even in Bye-pocolypse, Temper Expectations for T.Y. Hilton
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has been a shell of his former self over the last two weeks, catching a total of three passes for 46 yards against Tennessee and Jacksonville. Now the Colts heads to face the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8, a team that has allowed the fewest catches (48) and the fifth-fewest PPR points to opposing wide receivers in 2017. With six teams on bye, it's nearly impossible to sit Hilton this week. However, 'ghost' is always going to have a low floor in a Jacoby Brissett-led offense.
1 year ago: Colts Need to Find Ways to Get T.Y. Hilton the Ball
Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano told the media on Friday that coaches need to "scheme better" to get wide receiver T.Y. Hilton more involved in the passing game. After posting an abysmal stat line of one reception for 19 yards in Week 6, the Colts seem to realize that Hilton's level of productivity is tantamount to them actually winning games. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett has slowly become more comfortable spreading the football around and is likely to continue to do so in coming weeks. However, the Colts most prolific playmaker in Hilton is sure to get a consistent target share as the No. 1 receiving option.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton, Colts Receiving Core Offer Little Value in Week 7
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton posted his lowest stat line of the season on Monday night to the tune of one reception for 19 receiving yards. Those owners looking for a rebound performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7 are setting themselves up for disappointment, as the Jaguars have allowed just one receiving touchdown on 116 targets to opposing wide receivers. The rest of Indianapolis' receiving core isn't likely to fair much better either, so it is best to avoid this group entirely when making your start decisions this week.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Drops a Dud vs. Tennessee
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught one pass for 19 yards in a loss to the Tennessee Titans on Monday night. Hilton was 6th on the team in receptions in this matchup, a surprising development given how he and quarterback Jacoby Brissett had seemingly developed a strong rapport in Week 6. The struggles are likely to continue for Hilton when he faces off against cornerback Jalen Ramsey and the Jacksonville Jaguars' ferocious secondary next week.
1 year ago: Fire Up T.Y. Hilton with Confidence on Monday Night
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is coming off of a 177 receiving yard shredding of the San Francisco 49ers with a high chance for a repeat high-scoring performance when the team faces the Tennessee Titans on Monday night. The Titans rank 30th in receptions allowed and are tied for the league-lead in touchdowns allowed to wide receivers, making him an especially enticing option now that quarterback Jacoby Brissett and him seem to be on the same page. As far as Hilton's ceiling is concerned, the sky is the limit for the rest of the 2017 season as injured quarterback Andrew Luck is on well on the path to recovery. In this week's game, his range of outcomes falls between mid-WR1 and high-end WR2 production.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton is the Lone Startable Colts Receiver in Week 5
With a three-reception, 30-yard performance against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4, many owners of Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton are praying for the long-awaited return of quarterback Andrew Luck (shoulder) to boost his ceiling. In the meantime, the San Francisco 49ers should give owners a reasonable return from Hilton as they lack enough experience and speed at the cornerback position to cover him in passing game. He should return WR2 value in this matchup. Wide receivers Donte Moncrief and Kamar Aiken, on the other hand, have seen their snaps fluctuating with neither having a firm grasp on the No. 2 wide receiver job. Neither can be trusted against the 49ers to be fantasy-relevant barring red-zone targets going their way.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Held to Three Catches Against Seattle
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton failed to follow up a lights-out Week 3 performance when the team faced the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, catching three passes for 30 yards in a 46-18 loss. Hilton and fellow wide receiver Donte Moncrief had identical stat lines, but Moncrief was the beneficiary of the team's lone receiving touchdown. What this game should make clear for fantasy owners is the low ceiling Hilton has in bad matchups, though his role in the offense should allow him to perform well in favorable ones. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett is a notable upgrade for all Colts wide receivers compared to Scott Tolzien.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton "Wants the Pressure" of Playing Seattle, Should Get WR2 Production
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton promised that the team would not be 0-3 entering Week 4 and lived up to his promising by exposing the Cleveland Brown secondary for 153 receiving yards and a touchdown. Against the Seattle Seahawks, Hilton should be utilized all over the field while drawing matchups from the Seahawks' lanky cornerback tandem in Richard Sherman and Shaq Griffin. His speed and shiftiness could prove invaluable in getting separation, but his quarterback in Jacoby Brissett will need to prove that he can handle the pressure of facing one of the best defenses the team has faced this season. Expect WR2 production with a low floor should Seattle opt to phase Hilton out as a focal point.
1 year ago: T.Y. Hilton Puts On a Show in Win Over Cleveland
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton promised earlier in the week that the team would not fall to 0-3 and he followed through against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. His final stat-line was seven receptions for 153 yards and touchdown in a shredding of the Cleveland secondary. This performance and game as a whole were incredibly promising signs for the Colts offense absent quarterback Andrew Luck. Hilton has proved that he should be a fixture in your lineup even when the team heads to Seattle next week as one of the safest floor players on the team that now has upside with quarterback Jacoby Brissett under center.
2 years ago: T.Y. Hilton, Colts’ Receivers In-Line for Rough Opening Game
When the Indianapolis Colts head to Los Angeles to take on the Rams Sunday absent star quarterback Andrew Luck, the passing offense is likely to hit a few snags as its pieces continue to mesh. For last season's league-leader in receiving yards in T.Y. Hilton, nearly all aspects of his production experienced fall-offs without Luck under center. In 10 games with backup quarterbacks over the previous two years, Hilton's targets per game fell from 8.5 to 7.0 and his receptions per contest go from almost 5 per game to 3.9. Hilton had stated earlier this week that current starter Scott Tolzien and him are "still learning each other [and] still trying to figure each other out", ultimately inspiring little confidence in his prospects for WR1 production in Week 1. If Hilton will have a tough time getting going, it will also be difficult for the likes of Donte Moncrief and Chester Rogers (who didn't practice on Wednesday) to be useful fantasy assets. Each player offers a low ceiling and floor heading into Week 1.
2 years ago: TY Hilton Aiming for Double-Digit Touchdowns in 2017
In an interview with NFL Network reporter Stacey Dales, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver TY Hilton stated that his personal goal for 2017 is to "get double-digit touchdowns." Although Hilton also made a point of saying he could eclipse last season's league-leading 1,448 receiving yards, the thought of more touchdowns to accompany the yardage is extremely exciting for fantasy owners. Hilton was the NFL's fourth most targeted wide receiver in 2016 and averaged 16 yards per reception, exceptional numbers that would seemingly put him on par with the top-three fantasy receivers from 2016. However, he finished as the fifth overall fantasy receiver in both standard and PPR scoring due to his measly 16 red-zone targets (ranked 37th among wide receivers) and six total touchdowns. Hilton will need both a healthy Andrew Luck throwing him the football and an increased target share in the red zone to reach his goal, a difficult task considering big-bodied targets Donte Moncrief and Jack Doyle are still around.
2 years ago: T.Y. Hilton Dealing With Hamstring Strain
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has a hamstring strain and may not do much in mandatory minicamp this week. However, it doesn't appear to be a long-term issue. The Colts are likely being cautious with their No. 1 receiver after he posted a career-high 91 catches for 1,448 yards and six touchdowns in 2016. Hilton is a surefire WR1 but can disappear for stretches. His success hinges largely on the health of quarterback Andrew Luck (shoulder).
