Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (groin) is officially active in Week 16 against the Saints. Smith-Schuster declared on Twitter on Saturday that he wouldn't be letting his fantasy owners down by sitting in a big game in New Orleans. He didn't lie. As the team's No. 2 behind Antonio Brown in a game that should see quarterback Ben Roethlisberger passing often, Smith-Schuster is a low-end WR1/high-end WR2. Make sure he's in your lineups.
5 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Says He's Playing
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (groin), who is questionable for Week 16 against the Saints, emphatically said on Twitter that he will play on Sunday. While we wouldn't necessarily make this a lock that he'll be active, it should calm his fantasy owners quite a bit. In what is projected to be a shootout in the dome, Smith-Schuster will be a high-end WR2 if he suits up. Have a backup plan just in case, though, since the Saints-Steelers matchup is one of the few later games on Sunday.
5 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Questionable For Sunday
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (groin) is officially questionable for his team's Week 16 showdown against the New Orleans Saints. Smith-Schuster injured his groin during Thursday's practice and did not practice on Friday. It is hard to say whether he will be able to suit up for the fantasy championship round, so his owners will want to have a backup option on hand just in case. If Smith-Schuster is ruled out, look for rookie James Washington to see an increased role, while Antonio Brown will be a target hog.
5 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Injured In Practice Thursday
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (groin) left practice early with a groin injury on Thursday and was officially limited. Smith-Schuster's Friday practice status will be huge. He could very well be questionable and a game-time decision in a big game against the Saints this weekend. He'll be a WR2 if he plays in a potentially high-scoring affair, but you might have to make backup plans now just in case. Rookie James Washington would have a much bigger role if Smith-Schuster didn't play, as well as Ryan Switzer, Eli Rogers and tight end Vance McDonald.
6 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Hopes To Stay Hot
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster exploded in Week 12 for 189 yards on 13 catches, including a 97-yard touchdown. This marked his second consecutive 100-yard game, after failing to reach that mark since Week 6. JuJu gets the added bonus of having defenses keying in on Antonio Brown each week, which should help again this week. JuJu is up to 77 catches and four touchdowns on the year, and always presents WR1 upside. Start him as such in Week 13.
6 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster In WR2 Territory
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has not quite taken the fantasy leap that we hoped he would. Although, he continues to put up usable numbers week to week. This week JuJu gets the Jacksonville Jaguars defense, in Jacksonville. While this sounds pretty daunting, the Jags defense has not been what we expected this year. While still strong overall against opposing quarterbacks, they have been prone to giving up big performances. This is certainly not a plus matchup for JuJu, but he is still a good WR2 play this week.
7 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Ready To Roll
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster got off to a fantastic start in 2018 before cooling over his past three games. Over that stretch he has just one touchdown and one 100 yard game. There isn't much need for concern though as JuJu remains the clear number two target in a strong offense. The Steelers should put on a strong showing coming out of a bye week. Especially in a divisional matchup. Smith-Schuster is a decent bet to top 100 yards or score a touchdown just about every week, play him as such.
7 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Tops 100 Yards, Held Scoreless
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster topped 100 yards for the first time since Week 3 in a nice rebound game this week. He was seemingly Ben Roethlisberger's go-to guy down the stretch, and finished with seven catches for 111 yards. It was nice to see after two down weeks for JuJu, who will be heading into the bye on a high note. He won't have the easiest of matchups when the Steelers return to face the Browns in Week 8, but Smith-Schuster will remain a solid WR2.
8 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Looks To Rebound
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster has been relatively quiet the last two weeks after a hot start to the season. However, JuJu still boasts a five week total of 35 catches, 450 yards and two scores. This week he'll take on the Cincinnati Bengals in a road matchup. While divisional games tend to be lower scoring, we should expect to see some points on the board in this one. The Steelers have scored 21 and 30 points in their last two road games. Play JuJu as a strong WR2 this week.
8 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Has Quiet Week 5
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster caught just four balls in the Steelers Week 5 matchup against the Falcons. Smith-Schuster finished the day with just 34 yards receiving, but salvaged his day with an early touchdown grab. After starting the year sizzling hot, Smith-Schuster has now had two down weeks in a row. There shouldn't be any worries though. JuJu remains the clear number two option and very well could rebound in Week 6 when the Steelers take on the Bengals.
8 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster A Must Start
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster disappointed last week after a great start to the year. However, he should rebound in a big way in Week 5. The Falcons defense has been destroyed the past two weeks and should be again in Pittsburgh this week. Over their last two games, the Falcons have given up 733 passing yards and six touchdowns. With Ben Roethlisberger and Co. hungry for a win, we should expect this trend to continue. It would not be surprising to see both Brown and Smith-Schuster top 100 yards in this one. Start him with confidence.
8 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Cools Off In Week 4
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster finally cooled after a hot start to the 2018 season. After three straight games with 100 yards, Smith-Schuster managed only 60 yards on four catches against the Ravens on Sunday night. The Pittsburgh offense seemed to be off entirely, leaving both Brown and Smith-Schuster owners hoping for more. This performance shouldn't worry you, however. Smith-Schuster is still a high-end WR2 with massive upside each week. Expect a strong rebound from him in a get-right game against the struggling Falcons defense in Week 5.
8 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster A High-End WR2 In Week 4
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster is off to a blistering start this season, posting three straight 100-yard games for his team. The second-year receiver will square off against a Baltimore Ravens defense that has struggled on the road this season. Smith-Schuster is quickly becoming the 1B to Antonio Brown's 1A in the passing offense and can be started with confidence in Week 4. Treat him as a high-end WR2 with WR1 upside on Sunday night.
8 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Not Practicing Wednesday
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster (abdomen) did not practice on Wednesday. It's unclear if Smith-Schuster was just being rested or not, but this is something to keep a close eye on as the week progresses. The second-year wideout has been a must-start after three weeks in the season and has built on his impressive rookie season. If he's active against the Ravens, he needs to be in your lineups.
8 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Tops 100 Yards In Week 3
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster had his third straight game of 100 yards on Monday against the Buccaneers. Smith-Schuster saw 11 targets and managed to grab nine of them to lead the team once again with 116 yards. JuJu failed to reach the endzone, but produced a solid fantasy day nonetheless. His emergence so far this year has made him a consistent high-end WR2, with WR1 upside on a weekly basis. With Antonio Brown opposite him in coverage, we should expect this sort of output from him most of the season. Smith-Schuster will be a strong play again in Week 4 against the Ravens.
8 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster A Strong Play In Week 3
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster has been fantastic thus far in the 2018 season. Through two games, Smith-Schuster ranks inside the top six in both receptions and yards, while matching or outpacing his teammate Antonio Brown in both. Against the Browns and the Chiefs, Smith-Schuster amassed 18 catches for 240 yards and a touchdown. He enters Week 3 with another plus matchup against an injured Tampa Bay secondary on Monday night. With Pittsburgh reeling and trying to avoid an 0-2-1 start to the season, expect this offense to come out firing. Smith-Schuster is a high-end WR2 in this one.
8 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Keeps It Rolling In Week 2
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster lit up the Kansas City Chiefs defense in Week 2. Coming off of a strong performance in Week 1, Smith-Schuster upped the ante in Week 2 with 13 receptions, 167 yards and a touchdown. With the Steelers immediately playing catch-up in this one, Smith-Schuster was able to rack up 19 targets opposite of Antonio Brown. At this point, he is more than living up to his draft value. Expect Smith-Schuster to continue his strong play in Week 3 against the Buccaneers banged-up secondary.
9 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Posts 100-Yard Game In Week 1
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster caught five of eight targets for 119 yards in his team's 21-21 tie with the Cleveland Browns in Week 1. The second-year receiver was impressive in the game, ripping off a 67-yard reception at the beginning of the third quarter which set the Steelers up for their second touchdown of the afternoon. Smith-Schuster has to share targets with alpha receiver Antonio Brown but he should see enough volume to be a weekly WR2 in fantasy. He draws a beautiful Week 2 matchup against a weak Kansas City Chiefs pass defense.
9 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Scores Again Thursday
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster continued his run of excellent preseason play on Thursday against the Green Bay Packers. Smith-Schuster played for a majority of the first quarter and finished with one catch for four yards and a touchdown, his second consecutive preseason game with a score. The second-year receiver should see more playing time in the third preseason game when the starters are expected to play into the third quarter. Despite his success in the preseason, keep in mind that No. 1 receiver Antonio Brown has not been active for either of the two preseason games thus far, which has made Smith-Schuster the de facto No. 1 option in the passing game.
10 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Scores Long Touchdown Thursday
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster looked good in his preseason debut on Thursday. Playing against the Philadelphia Eagles, Smith-Schuster caught his lone target for a 71-yard touchdown. The second-year wideout had been dealing with a knee issue intermittently throughout training camp but that didn't seem to be an issue for him on Thursday as he leaped over a Philadelphia defender for the long score. Smith-Schuster turned in one of the best receiving seasons for a rookie in 2017 and should continue to build upon that success in 2018. He's a solid bet to finish as a WR3 in fantasy this season.
10 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Misses Practice With Knee
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster missed Sunday's practice with what is believed to be a knee issue. While there has been no official word from the team, Smith-Schuster was seen icing his left knee after Saturday's practice session. As of now, there is no indication as to the severity of the issue. Stay tuned as the Steelers kick off the preseason on Thursday against the Philadelphia Eagles. After a breakout rookie campaign, Smith-Schuster will operate as the team's No. 2 wideout behind Antonio Brown in 2018.
11 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Expected To Be Big Part Of Offense
According to Pittsburgh Steelers beat reporter Jeremy Fowler, wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster will be counted on even more in 2018 than he was in his rookie season. Smith-Schuster was impressive as a rookie, racking up 917 yards and seven touchdowns but he has yet to reach his full potential. Fowler predicts that Smith-Schuster will draw at least 100 targets in 2018 with Martavis Bryant now playing for the Oakland Raiders. Just 21 years old, Smith-Schuster sets up as a low-end WR2 in redraft and a top-15 WR in dynasty formats.
12 months ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Limited With Knee Injury
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster is being limited in minicamp with a knee injury. Smith-Schuster himself called the injury "frustrating" but he is expected to be fine for the start of training camp. The second-year receiver wouldn't divulge exactly what is bothering his knee, stating, "Just something that's been bothering me over time. Kind of just adds up and lets me know, 'Yo, I need to get it checked out.' We got it checked out." Smith-Schuster broke the Pittsburgh record for receiving yards by a rookie in 2017.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Catches Short Touchdown In Playoff Loss
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster turned in a slow performance in his team's 45-42 playoff loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The rookie wideout caught 3-of-5 targets for just five yards, although he did manage a four-yard touchdown on his team's final possession of the game. Smith-Schuster far outperformed anyone's expectations in his rookie season, falling just short of 1,000 receiving yards and hauling in seven touchdowns. Look for him to take another step forward in 2018.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Puts A Hurting On Cleveland In Regular Season Finale
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster turned in an excellent performance in Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns. The rookie wideout caught nine passes for 143 yards and one touchdown while scoring another touchdown on a 96-yard kickoff return. Smith-Schuster capped off an excellent rookie season, which saw him catch 58 passes for 917 yards and seven touchdowns while entrenching himself as the team's No. 2 receiver opposite Antonio Brown. Smith-Schuster will now get a week off before he gets set for his first career NFL playoff game in the divisional round.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Scores Touchdown Against Houston
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster caught 6-of-7 targets for 75 yards and a touchdown in Week 16 against the Houston Texans. As expected, Smith-Schuster led the Steelers in receiving with Antonio Brown sidelined by a calf injury. He caught a 49-yard pass in the second half and his touchdown came on a 17-yard strike from Ben Roethlisberger. The rookie receiver has been excellent for Pittsburgh in his first NFL season, slotting in nicely across from Brown in the receiving corps. With Brown already ruled out in Week 17, Smith-Schuster has a chance for another big game as he finishes out the year against the Cleveland Browns at home.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster A High-Upside WR2 In Week 16
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has exceeded all expectations in his rookie year. The 21-year-old has racked up 699 receiving yards and five touchdowns this year, despite missing two games and not becoming a big part of the offense until Week 8. He stands to see an increased role in Week 16 with top wideout Antonio Brown sidelined by a calf injury. Look for Smith-Schuster to operate as Ben Roethlisberger's WR1 against a Houston Texans pass defense that has been getting shredded by opposing passing attacks. The Texans are allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season. Lock Smith-Schuster into fantasy lineups as a WR2 with WR1 upside in Week 16.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Comes Alive Late Against Patriots
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster turned in a solid game against the New England Patriots in Week 15. The rookie wideout caught all six of his targets for 116 yards but it wasn't enough as his team lost to New England 27-24. Smith-Schuster was actually bottled up for most of the afternoon before he broke loose for a 69-yard reception on his team's final possession of the game. Smith-Schuster dealt with a hamstring strain heading into the game but he showed no ill-effects against the Patriots on Sunday. Look for the rookie to take on a bigger role with No. 1 wide receiver Antonio Brown expected to sit out until the playoffs with a calf injury.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Playing Against Patriots
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) is active for Week 15 against the Patriots. The talented rookie has fallen off a bit in the last few weeks, but he's in play as a WR3 in what could be a shootout in a big AFC matchup that could determine home-field advantage throughout the postseason. Smith-Schuster has been quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's No. 2 receiving option this year behind Antonio Brown.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Expected To Play On Sunday
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring, questionable) is expected to play Week 15 against the Patriots, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Smith-Schuster looked truly questionable after popping up on the report with a hamstring injury on Thursday, but he got in a limited practice Friday and will give it a go in a pivotal game. Smith-Schuster was trending the wrong way even before his suspension last week, but he still is worth a look as a WR3 in a game with a 54.5-point total.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Questionable For Week 15
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) is officially questionable for Week 15. The rookie wide receiver got in a full practice Wednesday before being downgraded to limited on Thursday and Friday. Smith-Schuster has been dealing with a hamstring issue for almost a month now, as the same ailment caused him to miss Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals. He is shaping up as a game-time decision for the Steelers game against the New England Patriots this weekend. Martavis Bryant would likely start if Smith-Schuster is out, but he has failed to capitalize on JuJu's previous absences this season.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Limited With Hamstring Issue
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster spent Week 14 sidelined due to a one-game suspension for an illegal block in Week 13. His status is in question in Week 15 for a different reason as he popped up on the injury report with his pesky hamstring injury yet again. Smith-Schuster was officially limited in Thursday's practice after practicing fully on Wednesday. Middle of the week additions to the injury report are a red flag, so be sure to check on his participation in Friday's practice if you are counting on the rookie for Week 15. If Smith-Schuster plays, he can be used as a low-end WR3 in a game against the New England Patriots that should be a shootout.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster On Injury Report
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) was added to the Steelers injury report on Thursday, getting in a limited session with a hamstring issue. Smith-Schuster spent the second half of November battling hamstring problems but did not miss any game action. Mid-week additions are never good news, but his Friday status will be key. For now, operate under the assumption that Smith-Schuster will be out there against the Patriots.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster's Suspension Upheld; Will Sit Week 14
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster had his suspension appeal denied on Tuesday, meaning he will not be able to play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14. Smith-Schuster was given a one-game suspension following his illegal block on Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict, in which he made helmet to head contact and wound up concussing Burfict. After the play, Smith-Schuster stood over Burfict to taunt him, which the league says played into their decision to suspend him. Look for Martavis Bryant to see an increased role with Smith-Schuster out.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Suspended For Week 14
The NFL has suspended Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster for Week 14 following his illegal block which concussed Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict in Week 13. Smith-Schuster illegally hit Burfict at the end of a play and then stood over the fallen linebacker to taunt him before a teammate dragged the rookie receiver away from the play. It was a bad look considering Burfict had to be carted off the field and checked for a head injury. The league office went on the record in stating that the taunting afterward absolutely played into their decision to sideline Smith-Schuster for one game. Look for Martavis Bryant to see an increased role with JuJu out.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Comes Up Small In Week 13
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster came up small in a big spot against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13. The rookie receiver caught 4-of-5 targets for just 17 yards, with a long reception of seven yards. Smith-Schuster missed Week 12's game with a mild hamstring strain but that didn't appear to be an issue for him against the Bengals as he played a full complement of snaps. His game was marred by a cheap shot on Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict, who had to leave the game on a stretcher after being concussed on the hit. Smith-Schuster will look to bounce back in Week 14 against the Baltimore Ravens.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster A Solid WR3 In Week 13
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster will return to the field this week against the Cincinnati Bengals after missing his Week 12 game with a mild hamstring strain. He will look to pick up where he left off, as he had been one of the hottest receivers in football in his three games prior to the injury. Smith-Schuster is expected to reprise his role as the Steelers No. 2 receiver after Antonio Brown, pushing Martavis Bryant to a complementary role once again. Smith-Schuster faced the Bengals back in Week 7, catching two passes for 39 yards and a touchdown. That game came right before he was elevated to the team's second option in the passing game and he saw his snap percentage shoot up. Trust Smith-Schuster as a solid WR3 in Week 13.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Logs Full Practice Thursday
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) got in a full practice on Thursday after missing his Week 12 game with what the team termed a "minor hamstring strain." The full practice points to the rookie receiver being able to suit up in Week 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night. Smith-Schuster should slide back in as Pittsburgh's No. 2 wide receiver, while Martavis Bryant will move back to the team's WR3 spot. Smith-Schuster should be activated in all fantasy leagues, as he's been one of the hottest wide receivers over the past month.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Has A Chance To Play
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) has a chance to play Week 13 against the Bengals, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. Smith-Schuster did not practice at all last week, suggesting he is questionable at best, but he will get an extra day to recover with the Steelers playing on Monday night. Of course, that also means we may not know his status when the main slate kicks off on Sunday afternoon. The rookie's status will hopefully become clear throughout the week.
1 year ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster's Week 13 Status Unknown
The status of Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) won't be clear until the end of the week as his team gears up to face the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night in Week 13. Smith-Schuster came down with what was originally called a minor hamstring strain, but it was enough to keep him out of his team's Week 12 win over the Green Bay Packers. With the Steelers playing on Monday night, fantasy owners will want to have another option on hand if it comes down to the rookie receiver being a game-time decision. Smith-Schuster has impressed in his rookie campaign, overtaking Martavis Bryant as the Steelers' No. 2 receiver in the passing game.
2 years ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster a Solid WR3 This Weekend
It has taken Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster just 10 career games to settle in as his team's No. 2 option in the passing game. The rookie receiver has racked up 16 catches for 337 yards and two touchdowns in his past three games, relegating malcontent Martavis Bryant to a distant third in the receiver pecking order in Pittsburgh. Smith-Schuster has a good shot to stay hot this weekend as he draws an exceptional Week 12 matchup against a Green Bay Packers secondary that is allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts. Fire up Smith-Schuster as a solid WR3, especially in PPR formats.
2 years ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Dealing With Injury
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has a "small" hamstring issue, according to Steelers coach Mike Tomlin . Tomlin said the rookie could be limited early in the week, but it does not seem like an injury which will keep him out. Still, it is a situation to monitor throughout the week and leading into the Steelers' game with the Packers on Sunday night.
2 years ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Looks To Continue His Breakout
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is on an epic two-game run. The rookie wideout has caught 12 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns over the last two contests, overtaking Martavis Bryant as the team's No. 2 receiver after Antonio Brown. Look for Smith-Schuster to stay hot on Thursday night against the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee's secondary has struggled this season, allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers and ranking 24th in DVOA. Smith-Schuster can be trusted as a solid WR3 this Thursday night as he looks to find the end zone for a third consecutive game.
2 years ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Finds The End Zone Against Colts
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster turned in another excellent game. The rookie receiver racked up five catches for 97 yards and a touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10. Smith-Schuster broke out in a big way back in Week 8 and picked back up right where he left off after his bye week. Clearly established as the Steelers' No. 2 option in the passing game after Antonio Brown, Smith-Schuster is shaping up as a must-start going forward. He draws a tasty Week 11 matchup against a leaky Tennessee Titans secondary.
2 years ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Looks To Build Upon Breakout In Week 8
Coming off his bye, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster heads into a Week 10 contest against the Indianapolis Colts after posting the best game of his young career back in Week 8, catching seven passes for 193 yards and a score against the Detroit Lions. Smith-Schuster will have to contend with Martavis Bryant, who will return from a one-game suspension but it is clear that the rookie has become a big part of the Pittsburgh passing offense. The Steelers' pass catchers draw a dream matchup in Week 10 as they will take on a Colts pass defense that is ranked just 25th in DVOA this year. Smith-Schuster is a solid flex option this week, especially with several teams on bye.
2 years ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Torches Lions On Sunday Night
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster had a huge game against the Detroit Lions in Week 8. The rookie wideout caught 7-of-10 targets for 193 yards and a touchdown to help his team down Detroit 20-15. Smith-Schuster tied Antonio Brown for the team lead with 10 targets in the game. His touchdown came on a 97-yard reception where he caught a ball over the middle and outran the defense for the score. As if it weren't already evident, Smith-Schuster has overtaken malcontent Martavis Bryant as the team's No. 2 option in the passing game. The Steelers are on a bye in Week 9 but Smith-Schuster is a priority waiver add this week.
2 years ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Returns To Practice Wednesday; Larger Role Expected Week 8
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was able to practice in full on Wednesday after he landed in the league's concussion protocol earlier in the week. With a full practice under his belt, it appears Smith-Schuster will be able to take the field against the Detroit Lions in Week 8. Martavis Bryant will not play in Week 8, opening up additional opportunity for Smith-Schuster to produce on the football field. Smith-Schuster can be used as a flex option, especially in a week that has several teams on bye. He is a worthwhile waiver pickup in deeper leagues going forward.
2 years ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster May See More Outside Snaps In Week 6
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has mostly operated out of the slot for his team in his rookie year, but that may not be the case in Week 6. The Steelers plan on activating receiver Eli Rogers for the first time since Week 3 and may have JuJu take some snaps on the outside to make room for Rogers in the slot. Smith-Schuster has been solid in his rookie campaign, hauling in 12 catches for 160 yards and two scores. He is nothing more than a low-end flex play but he's worth monitoring in case he continues to play well for Pittsburgh.
2 years ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Hauls In Four Catches Against Jaguars
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster turned in a solid performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Smith-Schuster hauled in 4-of-6 targets for 58 yards to finish as Pittsburgh's second-leading receiver. Smith-Schuster has overtaken Eli Rogers as the Steelers' starting slot receiver and has turned in two consecutive useful fantasy games in a row. If Martavis Bryant continues to struggle, Smith-Schuster could continue to play a major part in the Pittsburgh passing game. He will look to stay hot in Week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
2 years ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Scores Second NFL Touchdown
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster had a solid game against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4. The rookie receiver caught three passes for 47 yards and a touchdown, the second of his NFL career. Smith-Schuster has overtaken Eli Rogers as the Steelers' starting slot receiver, a position which could lead to some fantasy relevance for the former USC Trojan down the road. That being said, he's no better than fourth in line for targets in the Pittsburgh passing game, meaning he will be reliant on touchdowns to hold fantasy value. He will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at home in Week 5.
2 years ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Dealing With Bone Bruise In Knee
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is dealing with a bone bruise in his knee. The rookie wideout left practice early on Wednesday after he was hit during running drills. The team sent the cart out for him but he was able to walk off the field under his own power. For now, Smith-Schuster is being called day-to-day with the injury. It has been an eventful preseason for JuJu as he was diagnosed with a concussion last week and missed a few days. Smith-Schuster is trying to make a name for himself in a crowded Steelers receiving corps. He's more interesting in dynasty leagues than he is in redraft this year.
2 years ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Returns To Practice Monday
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster returned to practice on Monday. The rookie wideout suffered a concussion during the team's first preseason game this past Friday. He apparently didn't have much trouble passing the league's concussion protocol as he was back practicing with the team just three days later. Smith-Schuster has some dynasty appeal but he's currently stuck behind Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant, and Eli Rogers in the Steelers' wide receiver pecking order. Unless there's an injury, don't expect JuJu to make much of an impact in redraft leagues this season.
2 years ago: JuJu Smith-Schuster Being Evaluated For Possible Concussion
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was evaluated for a possible concussion during Friday night's preseason game against the New York Giants. The rookie receiver hit his head against teammate Jesse James when trying to make a tackle following an interception. Before the injury, Smith-Schuster caught 1-of-4 targets for four yards. He will likely enter the league's concussion protocol and may have to miss the Steelers' next preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, which will be Sunday, August 20.
